Wow. That would have been a slick double play. 2B got rid of that ball fast.

I always miss these new-fangled intentional walks and get surprised by the guy on base.

Kind of unbelievable, 7 of these 8 series had a team from one of the Central divisions, and if MIA holds on here and SD wins tonight, all seven will have lost. They are 2-12 in games right now, STL and CHW the only teams to win even once.

If you're the Cubs you must take 2 there. But that really did have the chance to be the very elusive 6-5-4-3 triple play if they wanted it and turned it perfectly.

Wow, I have never seen that actually called, good for the ump.

FFS, it's the bottom of the 9th. Cut the news and get back to the game!

The Marlins have never lost a playoff series. That means they are going to win the WS.

What a weird thing it would be for that team to win it all. They were a joke and they barely even played their season. Once again, it's another data point that we are in a simulation.

Braves will probably beat the Marlins, but the Marlins have some nice pitching and just enough offense to make things interesting (or in this case, enough to get by the pitiful Cubs).

Maybe not a surprise so many Cy Young contenders from Central teams:

"Cubs, Reds and Brewers combined for 3 runs in 58 innings of baseball"

Game 2 is on!

My bandwagon team has been the Padres so I’m rolling with that.

What could be more Cardinally than a .616 OPS cleanup hitter who suddenly is impossible to get out in the postseason. Let's go Friars!

The cleanup spot has been so bad for the Cardinals that they gave the job to Carlson because he had some good at-bats in the last series. Not HRs or even a ton of loud outs, just some good ABs after being recalled from the alt site.

Tatis Jr. is such a great hitter. He just doesn't miss when a pitcher makes a mistake. Feels a bit like Betts in that regard.
