Funny watching the Dodgers-Braves game now how relatively subdued and chill the LA fans are compared to rockin’ Fenway last night.

They've got their blue towels with the names printed on the back of the home jerseys so they're content.

I have friends and family members who ask me why I care so much about baseball.

As I've mentioned here, the Red Sox have and always will be a big part of my life, I love the Red Sox, felt so much pain in seasons past when they did not make the playoffs, lost in the playoffs or lost in the World Series.

Something about that ballpark, that crisp white jersey with RED SOX across the front, the dark blue cap with the B on it. When baseball starts, it's springtime and spring is in the air, the cold and the snow are gone, summer is right around the corner; when the season ends, it's fall and it's cold and dreary and winter is coming, it's sad and a bit depressing as yet another year has come and is about to go.

Baseball is the sport I played most of my life, little league to Lou Gehrig league to high school to Legion to college to Yawkey league to Park League, I've always loved the sport, it's you vs the pitcher, something happens when you crush a baseball, you barely feel it as it flies through the air.

The Red Sox this year were a tough bunch to follow, they drove all of us nuts here starting out so well, then faltering, then struggling down the stretch just to get in, then they won HFA for the WC game on the last game of the season, many of us were cautiously optimistic.

BUT, what has followed up until now; come on, none of us could have predicted this, they are strait up mashing right now, took down the Yankees, the 100 win Tampa Bay Devil Rays and are up 2-1 vs the high powered Astors.

I know many of us had the attitude of they are playing with house money once they beat the Yankees and the 100 win Tampa Bay Devil Rays, but that is no longer the case. They BELONG here, they've earned this, good for them.

Baseball is the one sport that I get emotional over; when Schwarber crushed that grand slam and the ball landed in the stands and the crowd erupted, so did I, I got choked up watching him round the bases. I thought of my grandfather, my uncle and my Dad; my Dad saw 2004, 2007 and 2013, my grandfather and my uncle saw none of those wins. What would they think about the post 2004 Boston Red Sox, I know what they would think and it's a shame they are not here to see it.

Holy crap; this is unreal, it's incredible, it's been a fun ride and a blast and I've gone from they are playing with house money to I want them to win the WS now.

Is that greedy since all I EVER wanted was for them to win one, now it's possible that they might win FIVE??

FIVE.

The Boston Impossible Dream/1/2 game out of first in 1972/1975 WS/Bucky Fucking Dent/Bill Buckner/Timlin in the 8th, Williamson in the 9th Red Sox.

It's been a ton of fun to enjoy this thus far and I don't want it to end, they've truly caught lightning in a bottle.

Baseball; there is no other sport quite like it and I feel blessed to be able to be a part of this community and share this with all of you.

Win tonight.
Especially since their rival has only won once in that time. I was living in NYC from 2003-2018.. 2003 was the lowest I've ever felt after a game.. I was so angry.. I worked until late that night, listening to the game on the radio. I finally left the office to meet my friends (who had been drinking all night) and hadn't even got a beer yet before Boone hit his home run.. My friends started jumping up and down because he was so drunk he didn't realize the Yankees had hit it out. I walked out of the bar and a random guy across the street was yelling 'they're never going to beat us.. they're never going to beat us'... the next day a coworker who I didn't really know (but knew I was a Sox fan) started chanting 1918.. What a wild ride ever since.. it's been an embarrassment of riches and so much fun to watch as you said.

ToeKnee (Lee) parks his car in the lot across from the green monster and spends each home ALCS and WS game there. It’s amazing to follow the game just by the roar of the crowd. He has a tv hooked up as well but you hear the crowd about 10-20 seconds before you see what occurred.

He’s made the news in WS past. Lots of fun
This is a TIL moment. Never realized he did that and I’ve walked by there every playoff game since ‘04

How the fuck is this happening? I'm a fucking wreck.

How the fuck did we go from house money to not being able to sit still?

How the fuck did this fucking team get from point A to point B? It is absolutely incomprehensible.

It's only a game. It's only a game. It's only a game.

Those folks on that private airliner that crashed on the takeoff roll this AM are very lucky people. I am glad they all survived. I am hoping that is just about all the luck that Astros fans will have today!

Yeah Reggie Jackson seems to genuinely like talking about baseball. Pretty cool appearance on NESN.

If you had given me an over under on his retirement day on Papi's weight in five years, I would have been off by 50 pounds.

I support electric vehicles. I drive one.

But no gas no squeegee is a totally acceptable rule. Maybe you allow alternatives like big gulp or beef jerky gets squeegee and I'm fine with that. But you have to be a fucking entitled asshole to think you can get squeegee without any purchase at all. Buy a fucking squeegee and put it next to your charging station you asshole.

I can't wait for Buck to regale us with tales from Game 4 of the 2004 ALCS about how the Yankees were in complete control until the 9th inning.

I genuinely can't. It is literally epic (in the original sense of "epic" as referring to the great deeds of great men) that the 2004 Red Sox have to be mentioned during every series where one team falls far behind.

F MLB.
Still can't see the game because it's on FS1.

Way to reach out and expand your fan base. Make it harder to watch the games.
