LOL, that's not a travel on Embiid, and then they call the foul on Grant, for I guess, being on the court.

Embiid travels, hits Grant with a forearm, and "draws" the foul.

What a joke.

I love what Brogdon brings to the offense as a point guard: he gets the team into better shot opportunities.

The refs just have to get better. Invest in former players. Younger guys or something.
It’s eternally too much of a guessing game because they can’t keep up with the size and speed. It’s not their fault, these guys are fucking huge and fast, but the answer shouldn’t be MOAR WHISTLEZ.

"The Celtics will only have 5 seconds to get this ball across halfcourt." Uhh, is that supposed to sound dramatic? Yawn.

This can't be all of it though. We can see terrible calls without the benefit of replay, and we aren't the paid professionals.

Will someone explain to this guy the math re: a 45% three point shooter versus a 70% FT shooter making all 3 FTs?

0.7*1 + 0.7*1 + 0.7*1 = 2.1 (Expected Value)

0.45*3 = 1.35 (Expected Value)

I mean, he's right? A 45% shooter is more likely to get 3 points than a 70% FT shooter is, but that's because a 3 pointer only has 2 possible outcomes - 0 points or 3 points. But ultimately, you'd rather have the free throws, because 2.1 expected points is better than 1.35 expected points.

We aren’t the same team defensively without Time Lord. Still good but it’s so different when we have that guy who can erase a few mistakes
