Nashua, NH
It has been one game but I’ve already forgotten about Ime Udoka. Coach Joe looked perfectly comfortable out there and seems to have a great rapport with the team. Something tells me he won’t be interim for long.

Brown 10-12 from 2
Tatum 11-12 from 2
Brogdon 7-9 from 2

Playing fast with great spacing from all the three point threats led to a lot of great opportunities inside the arc and at the hoop.

Nope. They ran all preseason and with White and Brogdon all year they are going to push the ball. Will be interesting how it changes when Rob returns.
I hope they do push the pace continuously throughout the season. Tonight it helped them to a 24-2 fast break points advantage. I love it when the team is running, zipping passes and finding the open man. This team is going to be fun.

Boston shots 34-47 inside the arc, 72.3%. The early offense and hard slashes to the basket against mismatches, off great spacing, paid off big time tonight.
Yes PHI is going to win a .ot of games but how far can they go when they are playing three prety bad to awful defenders in Maxey, Harris, and Harden down the stretch? BOS seemed to be able to get a really good shot pretty any time it wanted.

There's also no evidence that they can all get through the season healthy. Harden also especially just seems to get disinterested at certain times every season.

I also think Boston is a really bad matchup for them.. and for most of the NBA really.. if they're going to run all game and have decent rotations..they're going to run a lot of teams out of the building because of how young they are. Philly isn't designed to run for four quarters.

I hate that stupid fake goaltend after the buzzer

nothing to gain
Well….. shooters want to see and feel the ball go through the basket. Even if it doesn’t count, there’s a little mental aspect to them seeing it go in that builds confidence. Swiping it away denies them that. It might not be much, but it’s not nothing.

What's crazy is they shot 72% from two and I can think of at least two easy layups by Horford and Brogdon that just didn't go down.

Tatum hit a few tough ones, but so many easy shots off the dribble, in transition, and on great passes. This team loved to share the ball already, especially after White came over, and now Brogdon is going to max that out.

Appointment viewing, every game. With TimeLord? Watch out.

The Celtics just own the Sixers. They have an embarrassment of riches when it comes to perimeter players to guard Harden, with Smart, Brogdan, White, Tatum, Brown and Grant. Horford has always been and will remain, a master of guarding Embiid thanks to his intelligence and his ability to play defense without fouling. Another thing is that Tatum and especially Brown, just have no fear of Embiid and I think relish the opportunity to attack him on defense and score in the paint.
