I feel like the top 2 lines, which also means PP1, need to simplify their game. Pasta twice on that last power play instead of dumping the puck made 2 passes along the blue line that got immediately knocked away. Then Brad tried to carry in 2v4 and expectedly lost the puck and caused a 2v1 the other way. Probably gripping the sticks too tight trying to do too much

I actually thought they started off pretty good for a matinee tilt. Fourth line was active, Poitras doing Poitras-like things with 3rd line, 2nd line was passing the puck well.

But a brain fart behind the goal line and then refball-induced tilting ice got them in trouble. I liked Zacha and McAvoy's response to the crappy hit on Pasta (and Pasta lining up one of their skill players too). But they need to settle down and keep the puck in the O-zone.

Advanced stats favor the B's in 5v5 (although the expected goals for both teams were low). Stay out of the box, put some traffic in front of Bob. Get your lunchpail guys to lay some hits on their skill guys.

I expect a better jump in the 2nd.

Now score two more. And then someone can level Bennet. (Edit: Apparently I want someone to hit Bennett so hard that he loses a consonant).

Amazes me that the Bruins don't dump and chase on the PP. They are absolutely ineffective at carrying it in. They also look panicked whenever the PK puts pressure on them.

These fan duel ads where your inner voice talks to you to gamble more are kinda ethically questionable IMHO.

The good: 4th line play
The bad: PP is still non-existent, and, with more size than in recent memory, Pasta, Zacha, and Marchand are the guys trying to send messages in a physical game.
