That's kind of surprising, still no one out but just 2-0 and Clase already at 17 pitches (season high 23).At the game - fans are STREAMING out right now
They maybe need Carpenter for Cabrera in LF tomorrow, they have to get him in the lineup somehow.Pitching was good enough today. The hitting, well, it looks like a lot of day games. Wish I could understand it.
I said the same in the other game thread. No more days off this series.I think Cleveland made the wrong move leaving Clase in for that second inning.
Those were high sliders in that last Clase at bat, mistake pitches. Cabrera was completely lost in that one. It’s one game in a short series. Cleveland led the 1998 Yankees 2-1 in a 7-game series.
cabrera has got to lay off high FBs.
They decided before the series to essentially give Taillon Effross’s role, which seemed pretty stupid but they have a lot more info than I do. Also they miss Marinaccio who I believe is healthy but just not eligible to come off the IL yet.Someone has some splaining to do as to why Taillon was in for the 10th. Schmidt is the easy answer as he has pitched out of the pen most of the season. Plus, you save Taillon for if Sevy can't go distance.
Instead, Taillon won't be available until game 4. Dumb, dumb, dumb.
Yeah, it was just unnecessary IMO.I said the same in the other game thread. No more days off this series.
Edit you mean the 3rd inning right? He finished the 8th
