It was a 1-goal game for a long stretch closing the 2nd period and into the 3rd. Monty probably leaned on his defensive guys. Carlo and Forbort played a similar amount at ES (18:50 for Carlo 19:01 for Forbort). Carlo picked up 4:00 PIM's so that's why he came in less than Forbort.

What a night.

@RSN Diaspora 's hospitality continues to be world class.
I hope you liked that little swirl at the end.

I was not in the beer line/can for 20 minutes. I was in line for a CHICKEN FUCKING SANDWICH FOR 20 MINUTES. An outrageous amount of time to wait for a sandwich that frankly, wasn't even that good. The Verizon center sucks.
It's not great, to be sure. Though I'm not sure what multi-use hoops/hockey facility really is after 20+ years. The bigger problem is that the B's gave up two goals and failed to score another PP goal once you returned. Next time you eat your fuckin' sandwich on the concourse.

Ovechkin was a non factor. I was surprised how little I noticed him out there. It may be the Bergeron effect, RSN and I both noticed how heavily Bergeron was shadowing Ovechkin on the Washington PP, really keeping the lane for the one timer shut down.
The Bergy/Ovi dynamic was really interesting to watch. You can't shut #8 down entirely, but this was more than adequate. Ovi, Oshie, and Kuznetsov only combined for a total nine shots on goal with zero points.

The only let down to me was Linus giving up a really soft goal to Conor Sheary that brought the score to 3-2 and had the Bruins on their heels for most of the second. Other than that, solid game.

My wax still feels like a sunburn. I hate it.
We should've tried to get Garnet Hathaway to rub some aloe on it.

I will say the Kraken's arena is great. Din Tai Fung and short checkout lines at automated register setups was an exceptional perk

I had to transition to radio at one point and never saw the Ovi high hit. Was there ever any good angles to show if it was a headshot? It was in the bigger highlight package but from really far away so hard to see.

Edit - of course the radio guys loved it (I was on Caps sirius feed).

Wife and I flew down to Seattle for the Bruins game last year. Completely agree that arena and atmosphere are amazing. Fans aren't all that hockey savvy but production value was fantastic. We're going to try to fly down for this year's game as well.
