On the postgame show, of course Red Sox legend Ortiz is yelling and celebrating the win. Beside him is Frank Thomas, a White Sox icon, and beloved by their fanbase forever.
Then you have A-Rod, who played for Seattle, Texas and NY, but no fanbase anywhere can stand him. He is a guy without a team and without fans, and nobody likes him anywhere. It's awesome.
Jennifer Lopez doesn’t like him either

I had to turn it off after the Tilt meltdown. Just watched updates on the MLB app until the 9th. Then I turned it back on. How did my heart take 2003 and 2004?
It’s weird. I didn’t feel like this in 2013 or 2018. Maybe close in 2007. But this really feels closer to those ‘03-‘04 runs in terms of nervous electricity and pure elation when things work.

I've always had a thing against walking the bases loaded unless really unavoidable. It makes most pitchers pitch differently
Yeah. If you throw a first pitch ball the batter has a huge advantage and is going to get a good pitch to put in play and can win with an out.

Agree, and watching this is so much more fun than watching 2018 was for me. You expected that team to run the table and they did without too much drama. These guys are shocking everyone and that’s positively electric.

Did anyone else think this was crushed off the bat? It was actually way more shallow than I guessed. Kind of a lollipop throw and Santana too fast but it was way more shallow than I expected off the bat.
Yep. I thought way deeper. Got nervous for a split second, But you could instantly tell throw sucked so then it was party time.

Congrats to all of you. Sox really pulled everything together this series (and in WC game). They are absolutely frightening right now. They seem like a really fun, likeable bunch, too. Plus Cora outmanaged Cash.
You're one of my favorite posters here, and I enjoy how much passion and knowledge you have for your team. I am jealous that you get to actively cheer for Franco and Arozarena, however, because they are fucking awesome.

Who has the Budweiser box on his head?
Papelbon?
Even better, it's Papelbanana: papelbanana-1.gif

My wife is watching the celebration with me, she is convinced Verdugo is a leprechaun.

*The actual group of 25 guys plays hard, much respect, a few of their guys are ballers and I'd gladly have them. Everything surrounding them is ass.
They will make great Canadians.

Thanks man, and I offer commiserations after a great regular season for the Rays. It's better to be hot than good (but both help).

Good on ya, buddy. These last two games turned out a different way in other iterations of the simulation. You're handling it with a lot more class than I likely will when the shoe is on the other foot.

Now that all's said and done, that was way better than a 10-0 drubbing.
Yeah. It's not bend but don't break, it's more like cut and not bleed out.
Once Whitlock gave them 2 shots to win, I felt pretty good about the chances.
So many times this year, they were bleeding, but stopped it just in time.

Love that it's the bottom of the lineup, plus a Shaw pinch hit and Santana running, that sets up that last run. The last week's been feeling like first half Red Sox again and I'm loving it. Water!

Good sportsmanship reveals a lot about character in my opinion. Becoming a rarity too. Appreciate the kind words. Rays are a phenomenal team. Lots of playoff wins ahead of them, I think.
