a) while NESN and other networks have done this this in some capacity before, they are now having a staffer go into the opposing locker room and video tape every opposing player and coach saying their name as they want it to be said on the air. Respect to them for doing this. Andreas Athanasiou is a damn mouthful and Jack's gotten it right the multiple times we've played the wings.
b) Jack addressed it specifically in one of the preseason games: Marchand's wife and kid like that pronunciation better, and he's matching them.
