No idea where that offsides was. If it’s between replay and losing, I’m not sure where I stand. What’s the old saying? Someone here said it about Carabao Cup, The best result is winning the Cup and second best result is losing in the third round.

That was intense. Wednesday just couldn't clear their lines for what felt like forever, loads of corners and crosses and recycled balls by Newcastle, but no equalizer for their efforts.

Six minutes of injury time. It'll feel like forever for young Justin.
my son (almost 10) had a hockey game in Quincy that ended at 11. I took him to the Banshee (you’ve been there) and we watched with about 6 Newcastle fans sitting nearby and about 10 west ham fans who began actively rooting for Wednesday. Tense ending but an enjoyable game.
we’re a real quality L1 side and that’s an ugly, ugly division- you gotta be tough to get out of there. I was just pleased we forced them to empty their bench and still hung on. Hasn’t been a lot of love around the club in recent times, this was nice.

He used to be good for a couple of those per year.
Is there any keeper who isn’t/wasnt?

not trying to be sarcastic- genuine question- seems like it is impossible not to crap your pants at least once in awhile?

Came here to congratulate you DH. That’s an excellent win. Must have been white knuckle time.

Alisson’s biggest weakness with Roma was that he’d take unnecessary risks with the ball at his feet. He also made these failed passes with far more frequency. Every keeper is capable of a howler, but one of the traits of a world class keeper is maintaining focus. That can be a simple pass in an FA Cup game, or it can be going 85 minutes without touching the ball and still being on enough to make a worldie to protect a lead. Alisson has demonstrated both for a couple of years. It’s symptomatic of the entire squad right now that he’s revert to a bad habit,

Leeds down 2-1 to Cardiff City late, red for Cardiff and a pen for Leeds to equalize but the attempt got saved, so should be a wild end to this one with Leeds a man up but a goal down.

Edit: stoppage time equalizer from Leeds, ends up a 2-2 draw.

Thanks. Nervy ending for sure, although from say 70’ to 90’ went quickly, but added time had me pulling on my face for sure.
Nice thing was that neither team needed this one, both are more focused on their respective leagues (and the other cup for our Saudi-backed friends). I kind of thing that’s what made the game kind of open and fun.

Technically still part of this Gameweek - Fulham see off Chelsea in the West End derby, 2-1, with Joao Felix seeing red at 59'. Vincius tallies the winner in deputizing for Mitro.

Fulham up to sixth.

This Silva fellow is an up and comer. Everton could use the likes of him.

Wonder what the streets around Craven Cottage are like right now. Probably some Chelsea lads about who aren't well pleased.

This shit has to stop.
Yeah I’m sorry that’s not offside. Argentina had one chalked off in the first half against SA that was similar but not this bad where the hand was past and that was the final straw for me. I don’t care if his hand is past the shirt flap of the last man. That’s not giving the attacker an advantage and so should not be offside.

I watched the match. Feliz was the best thing in a Chelsea shirt, things were happening around him. Chesea had chances to open the scoring in the first half, but boy their finishing is shit at the moment.

I watched some post match fan cams and so many fans complaining about the squad, and over all quality of same. From the outside i see good players, who are short on confidence, lost their way a bit, and ought to be able to find some form. But we don't know what the dressing room is like...they can quit on a manager as we've seen before.

Always sucks when a debut player gets a straight red. Especially when you might only have him for half a season. Those three games out are money on fire.

Studs were up at like knee level. Atletico jokes aside, incompetence was the vibe over malice IMO, but nevertheless a red all day.

Villa one up on Leeds in the first few minutes. Leeds paying the penalty for unnecessary use of away kit.

Villa get away with one there. Leeds with the Netherlands WC free kick and Rodrigo is seemingly pulled back and held off the ball. No penalty given. Probably 50-50 call.

2-0 now to Villa, Well could have been 3-0 actually but either way Leeds are not coming back. They often run around, like ants that have lost their colony, lots of industry but it's harem scarem, with lots of turnovers and nearly moments.

They could do with a calming infuence in the middle IMO. A bit of composure would do them good.

Bamford pulls one back. Should be a fun 5-10 minutes or so.

Villa have been running down the clock for a while now. They've done well.

May be their best and only chance for silverware this year....though Real Madrid look as old and disheveled as LFC in the Midfield, so there may be a chance to extend in CL....

The BBC pre game coverage of the Wolves - Liverpool game was pretty funny. Someone had taped a phone to a studio seat and as Lineker was introducing guests etc all you could hear was porn sounds. This went on for about 10 minutes. Finally Lineker located the phone. Him and Danny Murphy could barely hold it together.

Ouch, Traore should have been kicking for Dallas last night...skied that attempt like a 50 yard FG attempt....
He has a disastrous strike of the ball. His passes and crosses are overweighted and his shots either hit the moon or tear the net.

I’m really enjoying the Doak cameos lately and I think Koop likes him. He hasn’t figured much out yet but he has a swagger that this team needs at the moment. He’s not afraid to take defenders on or jump in for a loose ball

The USWNT kick off in about 10 minutes in New Zealand. This is the first US match broadcast on HBO Max.

Free kicks don't get better than that from Olise. Even if he had read it better, de Gea couldn't have given more than a courtesy dive for it.

Wow. JWP had the best that I'd seen in a long time on Saturday and this was even better.

3' left. Game might have another goal in it.
