I think that this is going to be one of those games where I won't know the outcome until after I wake up in the morning. Go B's!

First game of a road trip, late start, no Grz, top tier opponent. Any points out of this one will be great.

Plus, does anyone know if playing at altitude is as tough on the road team in an indoor venue versus an outdoor venue? It would be a very good sign if they can take points out if this one.

I think that, unless the arena is sealed and pressurized like an airplane, the inside of the arena is no different.

I'll take the role of largely casual fan dropping in. Watched a TON of B's on channel 38 growing up in the early '80s in Upstate N.Y., but haven't followed closely for a long time. I'm starting to watch more hockey on ESPN+ though, which brings me to my point.

I live 600 miles from the nearest NHL team, but somehow three teams are blacked out for me on ESPN+. Including the Avs, so it's a rare opportunity to see Boston/Colorado since the game's on TNT. Except it's not, because TNT schedules its games at 15-minute intervals so we get to see the last two-thirds of this stupid Detroit game first.

From experience I would say yes. I played a lot in Colorado for 7 years, usually though around 8000 feet elevation. The first month or so was always indoors, but when we hit the outdoor rink it was always a game or two for my lungs to catch up. More I'd say the colder air though

If you have enough money to sit behind the bench at an NHL game, you have enough money to not buy a cheap Chinese knockoff sweater

if that's interference than there better be a ton more interference calls on the Avs as the game progresses and just a parade of guys ot the box... but it won't be

But they could have assessed Landeskog a minor for hitting after this whistle. Then, at least there would have been one legitimate call and the Avs would not have an undeserved advantage.
Not 5 minutes after it happened and after they reviewed the initial call. I literally have never seen a ref do that. It would’ve had to be in the moment and that was more pushing and shoving than anything else.

Another unscreened wrister from outside the dots beats a Bruins goalie. Too many of those are going in lately.
