That'd be rough. He's always looked like a sort of frail guy. Hope this doesn't end up slowing him down; that elite quickness is a big part of his game.

This is why Tatum stays on the floor even when he's taking some bad shots: his team defense is really advanced for a 20 year-old, especially zoning up the weak side and top of the key.

I was forced to start the game late, and catch up on the 1st half via DVR. I fully expected to come in here and post how I wanted to drive to the Garden, grab Terry by the neck, drag him out to my car and throw him off the Tobin. Honestly, I was fucking dreading tonight when I heard Al and Kyrie were out.

Much to my surprise, for about 18 minutes, Terry was the only one who really gave a shit amongst the starters (I thought Jaylen, Wanamaker and Theis gave pretty good minutes in the 1st half) and then towards the end of the half, the rest of them decided to play (except MaMo, who is basically making 7 bad plays for every 3 he makes).

Anyway, it's a game they have to win against the worst team in the NBA, so glad to see them take care of business thus far.

If you guys go to the box score of the Pacers game on ESPN.com, they have a video clip of the Oladipo injury on the right side of the page here: http://www.espn.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=401071379

Fair warning, don't do it. I didn't even look, but the reaction of the players, and the sounds coming from Oladipo were not good.
I posted in the NBA thread but the trainer took the towel off of Oladipo's head and threw it over his leg. That typically doesn't happen unless things are where they should not be and vice versa. Its a safe bet that he won't be back for a while. I hope I am wrong - the guy is, by all accounts, a decent guy and a fun player.

Ifmanis posted a Woj Tweet in the main NBA thread that says Dipo is out for the season. I hate to say it but this is a big break for the Celtics unless the Pacers get into the Conley sweepstakes.

It's official. Brad needs to just put a moratorium on lob plays. For every one that works and gets the crowd excited, there are 5-6 that result in turnovers. I've never seen a team that is just so, so bad at it.

Hayward needs to be like 25x more aggressive in these games. Stop standing in the corner and practice hard takes to the rim against these loser teams.

Hey guys, there was a weird sequence earlier, halfway through the 2nd, maybe I just missed something. Celtics were up 36-38, we hit a 3, scoreboard changed to 36-41, Cavs took a timeout. We come back from timeout, the score is back to 36-38 as if nothing happened. I'm on a stream so I may have not heard them explain, but couldn't go back.

I saw the same thing. They never announced it but the score bug person added a Celtics 3 by accident and they didn’t fix it until the timeout.

You are 100% correct. When I was catching up via DVR, I noticed the same thing, but I was kind of fast forwarding and stopping, and I wanted to try to catch up, so I figured they just messed up, so I didn't go back and see if there was an explanation.

TL is really shitty at contesting on the perimeter
This is why Stevens isn't giving him more run. A guy like Ibaka who can play away from the basket would destroy him. The good news is that Horford is a great guy to practice against and learn from. I expect Williams will pick up a lot between this season and next.

He is a hell of an eraser though.

I'm optimistic long-term, but I don't think we'll see him a ton more this year. They already can't (and shouldn't) find many minutes for Theis.

Realistically, it’s probably still good for the Celtics even if Indiana gets Conley. While he’s likely an All-Star in the East, Conley is still not the player Oladipo is, not to mention Indiana would have to give up assets to get him (even if just to match salaries). And of course, we are all rooting for a Memphis tear down in hopes of a high lottery pick in 2021...

The more I see him, the more I think Brad Wanamaker is plenty capable of being the third PG on this team behind Kyrie/Smart, so if the reason we're keeping Terry around is for Kyrie insurance, I'm starting to worry less and less. Every time Wanamaker is on the floor, he seems to really make the most of his opportunities, never plays outside of himself and every now and again, he can get hot and give you some pretty good offense.
