astride the divide
Bissouma with a cracker for Brighton--close to 30 yards out. A largely full strength side against Blackpool although Zaqiri is getting a start and a couple other new/young guys are on the bench.

Mat Ryan was on the bench for Arsenal today. He fell out at favor at Brighton seemingly in an instant a couple months ago, and just went to Arsenal on loan.

City now up 2-1. The dream is dead.

Once they took the lead, City must have had 90% of the possession. Just too much skill.

I was bummed when Foden scored Cheltenham had played so well it was a cool enough story that I was Ok with losing. Their captain had one of the better goal line clearances you’ll ever see in the first half heading away a drilled shot from Mendy

I'd hope Rafa knows better than to work for Mark Ashley twice - I assume he'll return to Chelsea to see out the season if Nagelsmann can't be had

Interesting change here - Wijnaldum off for Mane, guessing Jones drops back into midfield alongside Milner/Thiago

now Fred and Bruno on for Greenwood and Van de Beek

Clumsy from Fabinho to concede a free kick right at the edge of the area, Bruno with a great free kick for the likely winner

Thiago ducked out of the way of it -.-

Now it's time for the precession of aimless floated crosses

Full time - two goals is a momentous leap forward, but the patchwork defense is catching up to them. Top 4 would be a victory at this point

That’s, uh, not a good lineup for Wednesday. I honestly couldn’t tell you how they’re going to line up.

Edit: guessing it plays like a 3-5-2 going forward and a 4-5-1 without the ball, but I don’t know. Mix of kids and sub-par veterans.

Richy had a goal waved off, Everton have dominated possession but Wednesday are not parking the bus, they have got forward with intent

I don't care if they are bottom of the championship, we need Wycombe's manager in the Premier League.

It's either that or he takes the black and guards the wall. Or goes on tour with Ozzie.
