Score a goal? Or two? Or three?

Looks like they dodge a bullet with Grzelyck. It sounds like he'll be able to play tonight. No other changes expected.

Marchand - Bergeron - DeBrusk
Ritchie - Krejci - Studnicka
Bjork - Coyle - Smith
Frederic - Kuraly - Wagner

Lauzon - McAvoy
Grzelyck - Carlo
Zboril - Miller

Rask

On Philly's side, Couturier is out. He and his line have been problematic for the Bruins in the past, they've given the Bergy line fits.

The bottom 2 lines are playing better 5 on 5 than the top 2
I'm not terribly surprised by this so far, as the top 2 lines rely so much on chemistry. I suspect they will start playing better before too long.

The defense is a tire fire, though... worse than I expected them to be.

I have my quibble with Miller, but I disagree about the defense being a tire fire. They've been excellent as a group. It's the same old Bruins defense we're used too. They are suffocating and are among the league leaders in limiting quality chances.

Agreed, D has been good. I like Miller for his physical presence that we need. Clifton would be an overall upgrade.

Fair enough, I missed the last 2 games so was judging off of the little I've seen, and you are probably right. They were definitely the better team (and from what I've been reading in here, have been consistently the last 2 games), I was mostly going off of some failed clears, though the recoveries were nice. I can definitely see it being a strength by the end of the season.

Bjork and Smith look awesome next to Coyle.... that line is going to be a ton of fun to watch.

My only real complaint with the D is they are probably too defensive, to be honest. The kids aren't overly aggressive in pinching and jumping up in the rush. I wouldn't mind them taking a few more chances to try and spark something on offense.

Since we're here, and the gear thread is largely ignored right now.... is Hockey Monkey a pretty good place to order a helmet from? Pulled mine out for the first time since moving (pre-COVID) and my movers put it in a box that crushed it.

That's where I got all my gear when I lived no where near a store in CO, both goalie and skating out. I was a fan with them and they ran some good deals

get something from SidelineSwap. You’ll pay half as much and you’ll get something twice as good.

Have the puck the entire fucking game but can't draw a penalty.Flyers easily draw call the 2 seconds they have the puck.

It’s a lot of fluky stuff but were 4 games in and they haven’t scored a 5 on 5 goal yet. Something has to change line up wise before next game if they get shut out again.
What's there to change? He's already put the lines in a blender. It's not like they're sitting on some goal scorer on the taxi squad. If you tae some one out their options are Par Lindholm and Paul Carey.

Shit like this happens during the course of a season. It's more visible because it's happening at the beginning of the season. They've played much better tonight than they did against the Islanders. They're getting better, more dangerous looks. It isn't going in.Is there anything Cassidy can do about Krejci being stopped by Hart on the slot chance? Craig Smith shooting it over the net on his chance late in the period? I bet they had a streak or two like this last season. It just doesn't get noticed as much when it's games 44-48.
