Holiday NHL triple-header on NBCSN

BOS-NYI at 5
BUF-PHI at 7:30
ARI-LAV at 10
Quadruple header, actually. They also have CBJ/DET at noon.

As for our game, Kase is doubtful to play. Studnicka draws back in. They are going to try DeBrusk at 1RW. A little too much tinkering for my liking, but we’ll see how it goes. Didn’t sound like there will be any changes on D. I assumeRask will be in net.

Marchand - Bergeron - DeBrusk
Ritchie - Krejci - Studnicka
Bjork - Coyle - Smith
Frederic - Kuraly - Wagner

Lauzon - McAvoy
Grzelyck - Carlo
Zboril - Miller

Rask

I am very OK with tweaking/figuring lines out. They'd usually be doing this in the preseason.

I'm all for trying DeBrusk on the right side. I'm a huge fan of his and it's time he took that next step towards being a real glue guy, and maybe a wing change will help. Or maybe not, I dunno.

Whatever. Just win.

I'm with cshea. Way too much tinkering by Cassidy. I thought he destroyed any chance they had at building momentum on Saturday, though that was a terrible effort anyway. Hopefully he settles down and just lets them get it together.

It is hard to develop chemistry when your line mates are constantly changing. Cassidy himself said in camp like a week ago “play with everyone, develop chemistry with no one.”

Injuries have forced their hand a little bit but it I don’t think now is the time to throw everything into the blender. They weren’t that bad against NewJersey. If this was the middle of the season they probably just ride on through, chalk it up as some bad luck and reinforce some coaching points.

FWIW, they tried DeBrusk at RW briefly 2 years ago.It was short lived and he said he didn’t feel comfortable. That was 2 years ago though so he is more experienced now so maybe this time they unlock something.

Yes, all 3 forward pairs did well on the pk. Good change of pace with speed of Bjork and Kuraly and then snarl of Coyle and Wagner.

He was on about 30 different podcasts/shows in the week before and after opening night. I know Jack listens/reads/watches a lot of hockey stuff when he's not announcing, so its no surprise he'd know of him.
Yeah, I'm sure he's known of him. I'm not stunned by that, I'm stunned he's shouting ou analytics. Historically, Jack has mocked analytics

Good work by the 4th line. Neutral zone draw against the Barzal line and they get a shot and draw an o zone faceoff.

Any tips for watching NESN through a web browser? Doesn't seem to work well. The feed times out after about 2 seconds of video. Sorry to bother with a tech issue.

11 scoring chances for the Bruins, but only 2 high danger. Playing better but still not really threatening much.

Looking at NHL.TV for the games this year. Is that a worthwhile purchase or is there another app or platform people prefer?

I use it. It works pretty well for me. I only have trouble for games with San Jose (which isn't really a big deal anytime) and all the national games. Then I just have to go use "other" means.

Today being one of those days I am using "other" means.

Studnicka has been pretty good, nice bounce back after a tentative showing on opening night.

Two defense first times struggling to score early in the season. The Isles haven't scored in 6 periods. It is only 3 for the Bruins, but as we know they're still looking for their first even strength goal 8 periods into the season. Something's gotta give. The Bruins have been the better team thusfar but the Isles did start to get it going at the end of the 2nd.
