I figured they wanted to keep the heavy pressure on a tired team after a long penalty kill. Seems like a pretty good strategy in this case.
The Bergeron line was assigned the Giroux line most of the night and it showed. 26% xGF. The tradeoff was that all the other lines killed the Flyers: Nosek: 88%, Coyle: 81%, Haula: 67%.

They were forced to play Vaak as much as he played, though. Ahcan and Lewington were the bottom pair and the Bs had 9 total penalty minutes by Dmen (none by Vaak). Plus, he was paired with McAvoy.
