That whole thing about the great ones making the players around them better -- I watch a lot of Denver games on League Pass and so many of the Nuggets are more creative passers now, and all of them are ready to get the ball (because if you're open, Joker will find you).

I presume the rationale is that

- the shot block was legitimate
- TL interfered with the ball in the rim following the shot block
- TL was not fouled until after the shot block (so that foul doesn't count)

A home team call.

Depends on how (1) would turn out in those blazing comet seasons.

If he is lights out for a couple years, and we win a couple championships in those years, I'm fine if he immediately retires.

I want banners.
Agreed, flags fly forever and all that. Still, I feel bad for being okay with Timelord burning out if we win a couple of titles.

There wasn’t a shot block. It has to be that he touched the ball in cylinder on his own shot. That is literally never called. Technically, if you touch the net on a dunk while ball is still live that’s goaltending too….but also never called.

joe should have been out there on that one.

Would that be a flagrant? Aaron Gordon definitely hit Grant in the face but it was almost after the play (and clearly an accident)

By rule hitting someone in the head is a flagrant one—intent is irrelevant.

There had to have been a shot block, or Williams would have been at the line on a foul. There was a lot of contact between Williams and his defender.

Joe can't very well argue that a technically correct call should not have been called.

Can’t make lay-ups, can’t make wide open 3’s…not a winning formula

So I see that I tuned just in time for the “Total Chaos” portion of tonight’s programming.

Any player who lobbies for a T when someone bounces the ball a little too high is a fucking dork and narc.

I'm streaming on a 3rd TV and this fucking Vista Print commercial with exaggerated Boston accents makes me want to fight their marketing consultant.

sorry, no, there was no shot block—watch the replay.

Also, the rules don’t work like that—-the shot block and any foul are totally distinct, there is no situation by nba rules that results in the either/or you describe. It’s not the nfl—tipping the ball does not excuse contact. Just FYI.

That call was not technically correct, as about ten of us who follow this closely all noted.
