imagine what might have happened had Marchand not spent the first 10 minutes of the 3rd in the box.
I’m fine with that, too. The refs had their heads up their asses all night. Calling back Hall’s goal was a fucking travesty.

Anyone familiar with Natural Stat Trick have any feelings about their Score/Venue Adjusted method? They had the Bruins doing a bit worse than their raw 5vs5.

Yeah, I'm not all that fussed
3 even up calls that should have been PPs
3 posts (won't count the 4th since they scored right after)
Marchand misconduct

honestly the biggest takeaway worry is that games won't be called even which isn't anything new so ... shrug.

Calling out the refs is fine. But leave that to Foligno, or someone who isn’t the best point generator on the team. Marchand already doesn’t get the benefit of the doubt from the refs, he shouldn’t be the one engaging with them.

He’s was on the ice, and he’s wearing an A.

Title of the second highest /r/hockey post this morning + 5th top comment. The dissonance is really something.

It's a 2-5 minute penalty that was called as a minor.

For sure...I unfortunately saw some Toronto "Journalists" calling for an in-person hearing on Hall for a stick to the head.

I am in the midsts of a serious hate watch stretch for the Leafs. I desperately want them to melt down in the first round again, just to watch Dubas double down on this core again, because he and this team’s fans just can’t fathom how they haven’t won a Cup yet. They’ve passed Montreal in my book, and the me of 15 years ago couldn’t imagine such a possibility.

What is wrong with Leaf's Twitter, including the reporters.
They seem to think what Hall did was the worst thing someone has ever done on the ice and are completely ok with the hit that came before it.

They also can not seem to understand that cross-checking someone in the neck with a stick is much worse than punching someone with a padded glove...

They’re convinced “they” have it in for the Leafs. Who are “they”? Depends on the scenario. They watched this team tank in 2015 and 2016, have converted all that draft capital into a talented core, and yet they’ve won as much in the postseason as they did before the tanks. So it can’t be THEIR fault, it has to be “them”. Forget the fact that Leafs fans would’ve had no problem with that punch when guys like Colton Orr and Jay Rosehill played for them, because now, they’re not that kind of team. Dollars to doughnuts, they’ll blame officiating when they get bounced in the first again, not the fact that this team lacks the resiliency to get past this.
