    For as bad as the A's presumably are, there are some competent hitters in this lineup. Noda, Bleday, Gelof, Brown, and Rooker can all hang and Langeliers' bat is supposed to be his carrying tool. A lineup that a decent staff should handle, regardless.

    Interesting prediction by Eno Sarris For those who don't click the link, he's basically saying that strikeout minus walk rate is a good predictive stat, which the Red Sox graded out well in this spring. His "bold prediction" is that the Sox will have a top-5 AL rotation this year.

    Their luxury tax payroll right now is about $160 MM according to Spotrac. If the bolded is true, they have a ton of room to spend before reaching $225 MM. I sincerely hope they use it.
