2020 Pats: Bengals Coach Implies Patriots Taping Play Signals

Did you read my last sentence? The people freaking out over the taping are morons, I get pointing out hypocrisy but I don’t feel the need to be a moron(I’m not saying you are a moron).

2020 Pats: Bengals Coach Implies Patriots Taping Play Signals

I’ve seen Ravens people on twitter say that is the head of security and not anyone involved in football. I assume that is likely true and this is almost certainly nothing. I completely understand that the entire world would freak out if there was a picture of someone on the Pats sideline with a...

    2019 Presidents Cup

It is amazing seeing a bunch of the best players in the world just flat out miss the green on a 150 yard par 3.

They went back to it, and he hit a much worse shot than the first time. Ended up deeper in the shit. Match play is fun.

2020 Pats: Bengals Coach Implies Patriots Taping Play Signals

Here is some interesting stuff from Matt Chatham on twitter. I know he is a Pats honk but he is knowledgeable and he did play in the NFL. Anyway he looked at tape of the Bengals to see if anyone looked at the sidelines to get signals and saw no signs of it.

They would then have to pretend they were filming a documentary at every playoff game? It was dumb of the Pats to put themselves in this position but anyone who believes any of this is even dumber.

2020 Pats: Bengals Coach Implies Patriots Taping Play Signals

I know it is and you know it is but they don’t know it is. I hope the NFL will see through it but as E5 has pointed out the Patriots have admitted they broke the rule. We all pretty much agree it wasn’t done on purpose and that there is nothing to gain by doing this but we don’t know if the NFL...

KSP was the cover for Spygate. This is crap, but it is crap that could end up being deep shit for the Pats.

We can say for certain that a Bengals employee said that because that is the quote, we can’t say for certain that is what is on the tape

2020 Pats: Bengals Coach Implies Patriots Taping Play Signals

There are reports out there that there is some sort of signaling still going on in addition to radio communication. I’m aware plays are no longer signaled in. I’m just throwing out some possibilities of what could be seen as an issue by the league.

It really depends what they filmed, if there were some wide shots of just the sideline then it probably goes away. If there was film of some sort of signals or if they were focusing on something in particular then the hammer will be swift and harsh. And it would be correct.

    Officiating Questions & Observations

So you can’t do what BBJ proposed in his hypothetical and just challenge a random play. In this case you are challenging the spot relating to a first down. I believe in this case they can move the ball and then measure. I could be wrong about that, it happens more than I like, but this note...

    Officiating Questions & Observations

I don’t think the first part is correct, look at the wording of Rule 15 above. It clearly states the review can have the ball moved without changing the result and not being a “win”.

    Officiating Questions & Observations

I’m pretty sure the answer is yes and while the ball could end up being moved there is no possible way for the challenging team to “win” the challenge. I guess something like that could happen if it was about to be the 2 minute warning and the team would have called a TO anyway.

    Officiating Questions & Observations

And the challenge is only considered won if the spot results in no 1st down(or the opposite if it was called 4th down). In this case it is clear to me the ball should have been repotted and measured. Two other things: -Keep in mind the yellow line is only an approximation, it shouldn’t be used...

2019 Game Goat Thread: Wk. 14 vs Chiefs

It's clear Sony isn't a great back and it does appear they picked the wrong guy from GA. Most of the issue this year is on the OL but Sony just isn't a guy that can get yards on his own. Comparing his stats to White is a bit unfair though. White plays mostly in passing downs and the D typically...

2019 Game Goat Thread: Wk. 14 vs Chiefs

The hold on the screen was legitimate if maybe tricky tack, the DL( I forget who it was) was out of position when he realized it was a screen so he grabbed the OL to try keep him from blocking someone else. The worst part about that play was it was already blown up and the ball was thrown in to...

2019 Game Goat Thread: Wk. 14 vs Chiefs

Yeah it looks to me that he couldn’t see where his foot is so I have no problem with that ref deferring to the other ref. I do have a big problem with that ref making a call that he obviously wasn’t sure of instead of defaulting to a TD knowing it would be fixed if incorrect.

Yeah this wasn’t like last week, the game wasn’t over and the Chiefs knew it wasn’t over. The yards last week. Were mostly meaningless.
