How do I cancel my subscription?

Thanks all. Now I feel doubly stupid because I don't get the jazz reference. Anyway, none of those suggestions work for me, so I've DM'ed the Mighty Nip.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Every year, in December, my credit card gets billed for a SoSH membership. I'm not really active on here anymore so I would like to cancel (sorry!). I can't see any way to do that on the site. Can someone please point the way?

SOSH Real Fantasy Draft 2014: Draft Order, Rules, and Draft Thread

I’m willing to make the leap from spectator to participant if y’all run it this winter. I possess 80-grade enthusiasm and 20-grade skill.

    2018-19 Offseason Thread

Apologies if I'm being obtuse, but can some kind and knowledgeable person please explain why the Sox only put 39 players on the 40-man at the deadline for Rule 5 draft protection? Is there some advantage to keeping a spot open?

SOSH Real Fantasy Draft 2014: Draft Order, Rules, and Draft Thread

Your pitching was basically average. You got 44 WAR from pitchers. The mean was 48. Prometheus Wakefield was tops at 76. Toe Nash was last with 23. Interestingly, no one had enough pitching. An MLB team needed 7,290 innings pitched over this span. The average among teams drafted in this...

SOSH Real Fantasy Draft 2014: Draft Order, Rules, and Draft Thread

The draft results are at the "Chart" link in the first post of the thread. I pulled 2014-2018 stats from FanGraphs and did Excel stuff to get the totals I listed. Your highlight was taking Lorenzo Cain in the 12th round. Average players there returned 4 WAR. LoCain gave you 23! That ranks...

SOSH Real Fantasy Draft 2014: Draft Order, Rules, and Draft Thread

I watched this exercise with great interest when it was happening, in the 2013-14 offseason. Although different participants viewed the exercise differently, a typical goal was to build a team to last five years. Since five full seasons have now elapsed, I thought it would be fun to tally up...

World Series 2018--Red Sox vs. Dodgers

Having won game 1, the Sox have a 62% chance to win the Series, according to Dan Szymborski’s ZiPS projection system. https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/instagraphs/zips-updated-playoff-probabilities-2018-world-series/ Interesting to note that, based on the probable starting pitchers as he sees...

Report: This is Don Orsillo's last season

Old friend Don Orsillo was the victim of some on-camera, broadcaster-on-broadcaster violence during the bottom of the 6th of tonight's (4/4/2018) Rockies-Padres game. He was a good sport. Pretty funny stuff. I recommend it.

    Following Former Red Sox 2016

This is one of the more compelling former-Sox story lines I can recall. Obviously we all love the guy because of a single base he stole in a Sox uniform, but in the 11+ years since then, everything else I've seen and heard about Roberts has made him more interesting and impressive. If he can...

Click here to Opt in to a Thread about Opt Outs

While I admit I haven't read all forty bazillion posts on this topic in various threads, there is one point I don't recall seeing anyone mention that could affect how teams view the opt-out: professional athletes are highly likely to bet on themselves if given the chance. I haven't seen data on...

    Major SOSH Upgrade, November 2015

Was free member, then lurker, now paid member but can't see Other Crap. (Are you guys really fixing each of these by hand?!?) Also, thank you!

    Vin Scully

Vin Scully is the best there is and he says 2016 will be his final year in the booth. At a minimum, he deserves a thread. Spring training is a long way off, and I intend to spend at least a few evenings this winter watching archived Dodgers games just so I can hear Scully being Scully. Does...

    July 2015 game thread

This.   If you get a chance and you have MLB.tv, go back and watch/listen to the bottom of the seventh inning of the July 8 PHI @ LAD game.  Nothing noteworthy happened on the field, but it just takes a few minutes it's vintage Scully.  He recaps the whole game, gives light but sufficient...

    July 2015 game thread

This is the same guy who wore boxing gloves in the dugout during a game against the then-notoriously pugilistic Royals earlier this year.  I'd love to scoff and say he's trying too hard to be funny but, well... he's pretty funny.

    JUNE 2015 game thread

Giants signed the very old, very injured Marco Scutaro.   I don't know how to link to this, but here's Michael Hurcomb's brief write-up from CBSSports.com:   "The Giants re-signed infielder Marco Scutaro to a major-league contract Wednesday. However, he is still not expected to play baseball any...

"The American League Has Gone Completely Bananas"

Interesting observation.  Not Sullivan's best piece of writing, IMO, but it gets the (surprising) point across.   Side note: Sullivan is one of my favorite baseball writers of the day and I'm a little surprised he doesn't get more love here at SoSH.

MLB to announce pace of play rules for 2015

Seriously!  All the things that were different seem like they should be irrelevant to the pace of the game.  Most batters had no walk-up music, right?  DId hitters get in the box faster because they weren't waiting for music to end?     Reporters said it was easy to hear everything everyone said...

    Marlins just DFA'd Salty

I freely admit to reaching.  I'm also not alone; the guys on the CBS fantasy baseball podcast today said "that's cold!" when they read this news item.  I disagree with your assessment of how weird or un-weird their statement is and I suspect you can find none others like it since MLB implemented...
