    Pritchard Extended

He still has the habbit of picking the ball up too often in the paint. I wish he would keep his dribble alive... maybe that is a reflection on his speed of decision making.

    2023-24 Celtics

Reminds me of PJ too - but PJ was in Europe through his age 26 season. I assume his stroke as evolving over there... Tillman has time to develop it, but it is probably not happening this season. If it comes to Tillman or Luke on the roster next year I am not sure which way I side... Love what...

    2023-2024 General NBA Season Thread

I hate it when Lebron makes me like him. He seems like a genuine good dude.

Let's Predict the 2024 Red Sox Season

@Rovin Romine I updated my vote to 78 after giolito news... in this post http://sonsofsamhorn.net/index.php?threads/lets-predict-the-2024-red-sox-season.41886/post-6011701

Let's Predict the 2024 Red Sox Season

i just reduced my vote to the bucket below. I wasn't expecting a 20 game winner here, so I am thinking maybe 4 games off of where I was. I was at 82 (my 1/2 full lens) but thinking maybe 78 now (still optimisitic given the news?).

Let's Predict the 2024 Red Sox Season

Optimistic in me is voting 82, 1 win over 500. However, I don't see the depth to overcome any prolonged absences, don't trust the "d" at third, and think Breslow will have no problem moving veterans. So maybe 77 is more likely. Still I am intrigued enough to tune in and see if Duran can...

Contract Conundrum: Do We Sign Jrue, Derrick, Sam? For How Much?

Would be fun to see him (JB) on a running team like Indy or Sac.

    JD Davison, 2nd round pick

Isn't a bit telling that he isn't being rewarded with minutes prior to the allstar break. Perhaps they want him to focus on where he is... but 15 minutes of run in a low out before the allstar game is a nice reward for someone who is grinding it out in portland - if they are in fact grinding it...

Too Many Hitters? How the Red Sox Draft Strategy Changed

The other side of this is the international players (starting with the period they signed Flores) - but it still looks hitter heavy... But from a count perspectiove looks like lots of investment in "cheap" arms (1/2 the signees but a fraction of the overall budget) Here are all the pitchers...

Jaylen Brown: Will he be enough in Year 8?

And Springer. I think the new folks can turn up the physicality when needed - while not allowing the top 6 to get drawn into foul trouble

Should the Sox sell high on Jarren Duran?

The other way to consider him is at his career averages. His OPS+ is 96 (improving each of the three years, even there is some regression from 2023's performance), with better than average base running, and perhaps improving defense in center? I am open to trading him, but see that maybe there...

Jaden Springer to Celtics for 2nd rounder

Avery is exactly what I thought when watching his on ball highlights. I don't remember much of his early offense besides his back cuts. Long shot to develop averys marksmanship, but he doesn't need to be able to hit above the break to be useful - if he can be respectable from the corner its a...

    Pick #38- Jordan Walsh

Love that it is off of two feet, almost jumps past the basket, and the certainty he was taking it all the way. Good for him.

    2023-24 Celtics

I am confused - isn't that to be expected? Top defensive teams are tougher to score against. Are we suggesting that they'd need to up their defensive intensity to win those games?

    2023-24 Maine Celtics game thread

I don't think he is strong enough yet. If his calling card is defense, I think he is going to be pushed about. Nothing wrong with him sitting in maine a second year.

To add: l lots of video to process from the clippers game for them to game plan from. I'd be surprised if they lost in that exact manner, to that team, again. Lets see how they finish the month. I am willing to bet they grow from this

    The Unikornet

I thoroughly enjoy him. His game for what it is and what is expected, the demonstrated joy, and his goofy personality. They need to feed him to 30/12 doub/doub just for the antics!
