    The Left Field Solution

I think they should put Hanley back out there.

Would Ted be a DH in today's game

I've always read that he only cared about hitting. In fact there's a story I remember (although I cannot recall where I read it) from when he was a manager: the team was doing fielding drills and when they got into a disagreement about something he didn't answer it and just went to batting...

Anthony Ranaudo dealt to Texas for LHP Robbie Ross

QFT.     All the acquisitions made sense and preserved the future.  Also just to add to your comment about Hanley and Panda:  it wasn't an accident that those were the two they went after.  They acquired two top FA at the teams two least productive positions in 2014.

    Your Red Sox Blind Spot

I thought Lavarnway was going to be a borderline all star based on the three or four times I saw him play in person.

Loria Expects Stanton to Opt Out

I was thinking this... what if the beanball to the face has more side effects that originally thought - either mental or physical.  Imagine paying Tony C. this kind of money for the 13 following his beanball incident?

Cam Newton involved in car accident

I lost a little respect for him for driving a redneck looking Dodge truck.

Lester: Stop Believing What You Read on Twitter.

Maybe because the Red Sox don't give NTCs and it would set a bad precedence.

    Stanton & Marlins discussing $325M, 13-year deal?

Remember when the rumor was that Miami offered a similarly ridiculous contact to Pujols and we all thought it was BS?  Maybe that was a real offer... I can't remember the details.

Bradford: Red Sox hire Chili Davis as hitting coach

I don't care if it's true or not... I will always believe that he had his eyes shut (and was praying) for that HR:   http://www.boston.com/sports/touching_all_the_bases/2012/03/jason_varitek_pedro_martinez.html

    The future of Koji Uehara

The only place I have seen it suggested that he will get a QO is on this board (and I am including the two links from The Gray Eagle in that statement).

Passan reporting Lester/Gomes to the A's for Cespedes

Can Cespedes be offered a QO after next year?  It's a little disappointing that he's a FA early (I'm surprised MLB allowed him to become a FA w/o 6 years of service)...  but the extra pick next year would be nice.  Earlier in this thread it said the A's couldn't offer him arbitration after next...

    the Red Sox Mount Rushmore

I can't imagine Williams or Pedro not being on everyone's list.  After that I can see some debate.     I went with Ortiz but I may be swayed that way because I have been alive to see his greatness.     With my fourth vote I went with Yaz - honestly because he was a cradle to grave player and...

AJP gets exorcised and Christian Vazquez up. Starts tonight

Think we'll hear some rumors about the awful stuff AJP did to get him DFA's (besides his hitting) now that he's out of town?       I hope so.  I forget if it was Yadier or Bengie but one of them loves throwing to first between pitches to try to catch baserunners not paying attention.  For some...

    Who is the 2015 SS?

I know that no one wants to think this but David Ortiz won't be around forever.  I don't have a link but didn't the Red Sox want their philosophy to be to use the DH spot to rotate players through to keep everyone fresh.  Didn't happen because we have the greatest DH of all time... but there...

    Peavy Trade Rumors

I see this asked a lot and my thought is always "who cares?".  The Sox are under the limit this year, they should be willing to take on a sh!tty contract (as long as they remain under the tax threshold) if it means making a deal happen.
