Celtics vs Da Culture - Round 1 (FIGHT!)

The Heat for a large part decided they couldn't keep up with man to man defense on the perimeter so they tried a zone and tried some high traps. The high traps as of a year ago were Brown's and Tatum's kryptonite however Tatum was whipping the ball out leading to very open 3s. Brown looked...

    Let's Kut to the Chase

Kutter has been a legitimate top of the rotation starter. His Cutter, Sweeper, and Split Finger are all extremely positive value pitches. His four seam fastball (which like everyone on the Red Sox he is throwing less) is not getting the whiffs it did last year but still isn't being lit up...

April 21, 2024: Beat the Heat

The injury risk was the refs letting the Heat get back into the game and the Heat took it too far before the officials realized what they did.

A Dream of 2025, What is Going Right and Looks like the Sox can Build On

It is a super weird idea that kind of amounts we have too many LHH hitters which is kind of non sensical to get rid of Casas. You only have two plus side bats at the moment going into 2024 with hopes that Grissom (a RHH) to be a third. It is easier to focus on getting a RHH bat like O'Neill or...

A Dream of 2025, What is Going Right and Looks like the Sox can Build On

Why would you trade away someone with four more years of service time because you don't think they can extend him when you have no one to replace them with? That is insane. Also I am not sure 1B is that much less wear and tear on body than 3B. Outside of Devers, Casas is the only...

    Nick Yorke

Blaze and Nick look to be RHH bench corner bats in a role that the Sox have repeatedly tried Dalbec to take over while Meidroth is bench IF. Sogard is the same boat as Meidroth.

    2023-24 Celtics

He got his MVP and is on the wrong side of 30 so pretty safe bet on no. The real question is if the 76ers whiff in free agency this offseason will he use his walk year to push for a trade to the Knicks.

Sox acquire RHP Gutierrez from the Brewers

This makes sense. Boston is looking for guys who need to remove the four seam fastball from their pitch selection. Gutierrez's four seamer is so bad in comparison to the rest of his pitches, that if he can work on his slider and try either a cutter or split finger with the chage up, he could...

A Dream of 2025, What is Going Right and Looks like the Sox can Build On

Why do I think the catching and game planning coach is more involved with better game planning and pitch calling, besides Breslow, Cora, Bailey and Varitek publicly talking about the approach? Magic.

2024 Playoffs Eastern Conference First Round: (2) New York Knicks vs (7) Philadelphia 76ers

That Knicks bet looks so good except Thibs might be stubborn enough to keep the Knicks from opening up and getting a hobbled Embiid moving in transition.

2024 Lineup (What we actually have - no trade speculation.)

I am not exactly sure what a Romy Gonzalez actually gets you beyond what David Hamilton or Pablo Reyes does. It is just bad AAAA "depth" you are throwing out to fill holes.

A Dream of 2025, What is Going Right and Looks like the Sox can Build On

The pitch calling is way better. I think Varitek is way more involved with the game planning at this point. I think both are good back ups at this point and you can live with a rotation of both of them. It is not a situation like Story (can't stay healthy) or Yoshida (not bringing value)...
