    Vernon has been in the Ringerverse for a long time now, but I would say he epitomizes the empty blathering sports radio type personality, and has usually leaned into that as a foil to the more analytical types like KOC.

    Wos’ argument was that Beal is the only NBA player that completely untradeable due to his no-trade clause, whereas anyone else could be moved for the right haul. I don’t know that I 100% agree with the logic but it was a reasonable position.

    As someone who lives in Oregon and has no particular interest or ties to the Boston Celtics, I cannot even fathom someone saying that Bill Simmons doesn’t like Jayson Tatum or Jaylen Brown or this Celtics team. To an outside listener, he is obsessed with them.

    At the time of the trade I said that I thought they could be fringe title contenders. Luka is such a ceiling raiser that it’s hard to write them off even with a flawed roster.

    Even with the caveat that the Rewatchables as a concept is malleable, doing Crash and spending the whole pod discussing how bad and unwatchable it is makes it a bizarre choice.

    Trades are almost never rescinded, even when damaging things are found during the physical, like with IT going to the Cavs or Payton being traded to the Warriors. Teams will do almost everything in their power to move it forward because the optics are terrible if the deal doesn’t go through...
