    Grade the Entire Offseason

https://www.masslive.com/patriots/2025/04/patriots-war-room-had-first-productive-disagreement-in-round-2.html Sounds like they were looking at someone else and pivoted when they got selected.

    Jared Wilson C R3-95

100 percent. Its very possible (probable) that vrabel is the architech and wolfe is just there to help execute the plan. My theory was that was supposed to be the setup with mayo too but mayo kinda flaked on that part of the job. But thats just me tea leaf reading. But trading judon for a 3rd...

    2025 Draft: Patriots Discussion

I think they were saying if we had 1 then the Giants could trade up to 1 to get Ward.

Paradise Lost: Milton and a 7th Traded to Dallas for a 5th

Again, it was worth a shot to catch lightning in a bottle, thats what you do with 6th and 7th rounders.

Paradise Lost: Milton and a 7th Traded to Dallas for a 5th

Because a big part of for roster management in the nfl is being able to tell these things by watching tape. Again there are a million reasons, maybe they just didnt want to spend time developing 2 qbs at once.

Paradise Lost: Milton and a 7th Traded to Dallas for a 5th

Because they value the upgrade to a 5th round pick more valuble than they like him. Why is it hard to believe they just don't like his game? I think the simple answer is they simply dont think he has the ability to become an nfl quality backup. That buffalo game last year needs to be...

Paradise Lost: Milton and a 7th Traded to Dallas for a 5th

To try to catch lightning in a bottle? There are many, many reasons why. It is very possible they looked at his college game and said this kid has an amazing tool. Figured a flyer in the 6th was worth the shot, then after spending a year there is a strong feeling that while he has some...

Paradise Lost: Milton and a 7th Traded to Dallas for a 5th

I think you are significantly overvaluing Milton. I would guess there are a half dozen unsigned vets that the Mike & Josh like more than Milton if they need to replaced either QB in Aug. My guess is they have seen the tape and just don't think he is an NFL QB and/or it was his agent spreading...

Poll: Who do you want at #4 if the big 2 are gone and no trade?

I think the idea is a high end rb is unnecessary, but if you are chasing a ring they could get you that extra bump to acquire one for a season or two.

Poll: Who do you want at #4 if the big 2 are gone and no trade?

I prefer the trade down scenario as well but I'm not sure anyone sees Sanders as a top flite QB (I'm pretty sure he is mostly media and Deion hype) so I'm not sure you'll get much of a trade for #4. My guess is most if not all teams see this as a 1 QB draft.

Is it just me or is "replay assist" a potential problem in the making?

Why is that? Isn't it better to get every call correct and never have challenges. Its not like the challenge system is some fundamental piece of the game, it barely even existed in the 1900s. It slows down the game, and require the coaches to make an instant determination to challenge or not...

Is it just me or is "replay assist" a potential problem in the making?

This is what they are working toward, they are just taking it in baby steps, first TouchDown, now "Big Plays" once everyone is good with that and it doesn't slow the pace down they are going to expand it again. Eventually it will be all plays but they want to make sure there aren't any...

The Big Digg(s): Stefon Diggs signs with Patriots (3Y/$69M, $26M guaranteed)

Yes, and I think they might like the idea of having a few weeks of live game action to see what have in the kids before making a decision on whom to cut. No proof but I still feel Wolf thinks Mayo and crew screw these kids up and that Josh can get them back on track.

I get think smith is waiting out to see if some team competing for a ring comes calling otherwise i get the feeling he might just retire.

    2025 Patriot WR Discussion

I believe so, others may differ but I think he could be "special" on either side of the ball.

    2025 Patriot WR Discussion

The kids I was working with at the time seemed to just generally enjoy the art of defensive play as opposed to the grind of working downfield trying to score. I never really was told a "why" but to me it just seemed they had more fun on defense and gravitated that way. Also there was a safety...

    2025 Patriot WR Discussion

Thank you, If this is how it plays out I will be thrilled.... Maybe one of them flames out but I think they are both solid picks and would love to see the FO swing that.

    2025 Patriot WR Discussion

Then we are in agreement, I'm not a fan of Tet but if they determine he is the best option then I'm happy to defer to brain trust in Foxboro (until they are proven wrong) I think there is a great dearth of talent at WR across the league (right down into the college ranks). Players have been...

    2025 Patriot WR Discussion

I know you were't talking to me but what do you say to those of us who believe Tet has no bettet chance of being a difference maker in the NFL compared to someone like Golden. For me it's not that i don't think they don't need a difference maker. Its just that im pretty positve Tet wont be one.
