2024 Bruins Off Season News - Everyone Else But the Center

Thank you for the reminder. Guessing they are just waiting so they have as much space as possible to shop tomorrow?

Of course, worst case is no one wants him and then we eat 1.5M. I'm betting that wouldn't be necessary and it's more likely that he gets grabbed on waivers by somebody rather than ever making it to Prov.

It's not so much that I have interest, as it is that I'm trying to boost the return outside of him. Like I mentioned earlier the worst case is we have 1.5M in dead cap.

I'd love it if they came away with the 25th pick, Chychrun, Forsberg (to help Ottawa with the money and to compete with Bussi in camp), and one of Ottawa's 4th round picks. Even that I feel like I'm setting myself up for disappointment.

2024 Bruins Off Season News - Everyone Else But the Center

I hope you're right, but I feel people may have their hopes too high on the return. Forsberg would compete with Bussi and absolute worst case is he loses that battle, gets waived and somehow no one in the league claims him, and then they bury what 1.5M of his salary since the rest wouldn't count...

My guess would be that we have to take Forsberg back, I'd doubt Ostapchuk is included and I'd extremely doubt Lauko.

Gotta play the body there, defense played the puck instead and he made them pay.

The Search for a number 1 center

The only reason to trade Ully is if you are set on Bussi making the team, or at the very least you are okay with one of DiPietro or Bussi beating the other out for the backup job to start the season. I've seen a few people assuming that if we trade Ully, then the next move is to hand over a 2 or...

The Search for a number 1 center

I don't disagree that there would be concern, but I think Lindholm is the best option available that the B's have a realistic chance of landing. I'd gamble on the B's system playing to his strengths and putting him between Pasta and Pav as 1c would be a massive upgrade compared to the linemates...

    Round 2 out west

Apparently the whale was incorporated because the ownership group at the time for the Canucks was Orca Bay Sports and Entertainment

    Round 2 out west

I haven't heard much chatter about it. The current Canucks colors/uniforms are a reversion back to the look they had in the 70s, but they've changed many times over the years. The canes still use retro Whalers 3rd jerseys at various times during the regular season.

The Search for a number 1 center

I'd rather sign someone in free agency if possible, as opposed to trading away more assets other than the obvious of needing to trade Ullmark in order to protect Bussi. The main focus for centers would appear to be Elias Lindholm, but the question becomes will he even make it to market? Reinhart...

Small Sample size I know, but for those who don't like the eye test I tried to pull the average game score for Bruins D. Granted small sample size for Peeke but the numbers back up the eye test for how he's looked so far. I can't figure out how to link the picture here, but through stat cards he...

To my eye Peeke has been much more mobile than I anticipated he was based on reports. I think he's more mobile than Carlo. Just about every game he's made a few plays where I think he might get stuck but he's able to find a way out of whatever jam he's in. Personally I want both Peeke and...

Do you think that would be the case if he'd of signed with the B's? It felt like he had some real chemistry in Boston and I can't help but think that he is exactly the kind of player who would thrive here.
