    Hornsby's production was just nuts. Probably the least talked about all time great player. There are only 5 seasons in all of baseball history with a position player (B-Ref) WAR over 12, and he is one of them. And it isnt really an outlier given some of his other seasons.

    One of the things I really like about the big, veteran staff is that I think Vrabel knows that leadership in the locker room, for now, is going to have to come from the coaches. There is no Bruschi, Rodney, etc., to lead the players and police the locker room. Hopefully Maye gets there the way...
