Next Coordinators - who do you want?

I always like Josh McOffense’s play calling. For entertainment purposes, how about Matty Pat as DC? Heads would explode!

Game 17: Pats guaranteed to beat Bills scrubs

Bills score here to go up. Milton III then throws an eighty yard Hail Mary for the win.

Game 17: Pats guaranteed to beat Bills scrubs

I thought Ray Davies was from Muswell Hill, London, England. He’s a favorite of mine.

Game 17: Pats guaranteed to beat Bills scrubs

Yeah, you’re probably right. But mobility has never been questioned. Let me know when he looks a receiver off for a second or third read. (Other than a screen). He has been accurate though. That shows.

Game 17: Pats guaranteed to beat Bills scrubs

There’s been limited pressure and seems like his first read has been open every play. That said, he has been accurate.

General NBA season thread: 24-25 edition

I just read the above and my brain nearly exploded. I don't doubt what WBCD is saying...but are we headed toward a world where AI creates leagues and various competitions, and the willing audience wants and expects ONLY the results and some highlights? I dunno. I'm old. It's the games - the...

NBA Cup 2024 discussion & gamethread: It's On. We'll Watch.

Continue going by record and head-to-head. Change next tie breaker to quarters won. or more radically, go to a points system: two points for a win and an additional point for each quarter won.

NBA Cup 2024 discussion & gamethread: It's On. We'll Watch.

Point differential tie breaker does add a twist. We got to see a Hauser heroic when it wasn’t needed…but, how about the tie breaker being quarters won. Imagine a team down 17 going into the 4th, but if they win the quarter they advance. Games within the games.

BB's next job (a.k.a. Steve Belichick's next next job)

I wonder if BB may be consciously distancing himself a bit from the NEPs. He wants to coach again. It's like the new fella at work who starts every work-related conversation with "Well we used to do this..." where "we" is his former company. Maybe BB doesn't want to be that guy and clearly wants...

    Baylor Scheierman - 30th pick, RD1

I think his shot looks different because he appears less squared up than most. Sometimes it looks like he "unsquares" if that makes sense.

Expectations for Patriots season, after game 8

I don't think there's such a thing as a "win that means nothing" especially with a young team. There's experience, player development, coach development, team attitude, etcetera. My friend Herm says you play to win the game. Losing begats losers.

Where have all the touchdown passes gone?

For passing TDs being down, could it be less than dual threat running QBs as mentioned above? Are QB run scores up? (Someone smaht will post this data...sorry, I'm not good at that even with having Professor Google's constant ear...) I wonder if clock management is playing into scores being...
