    Shams to ESPN

I assume the Schefter and Passan idea floats were attempted leverage on a Shams negotiation. He had them by the hairs, but maybe they tried to say they could go in another direction.

    Week 3: Patriots at Jets

Lowe's out for the game and he's horrible, so a replacement at LT is due. What's worse than horrible?

Are the Pats the worst team in the NFL?

The best things that can help the defense are 1) the offense and special teams not surrendering the 32nd ranked field position this year again, and 2) not finishing 31st in time of possession. With the hideous OL, it may be a tall task beyond turning the ball over less.

Thoughts/Impressions on “The Dynasty” Apple TV Series

Since this is a Kraft production, maybe they are thinking they covered the SB runs plentifully in the Three Games to Glory series of releases after each win. This seems to be trying to get out other parts of the story that weren't as well and previously documented, as well as putting the Kraft...

Official Patriots 2024 Draft Pick Watch Thread (#3)

Do the Pats have the juice to head fake the Commanders to take the guy they don't want, letting the guy they do want fall to them?

RIP Toucher and Rich Show ... It was fun while it lasted

One weird thing about the Rich-Lockhart situation is that it was portrayed that to save Lockhart's job, his money came directly out of Rich's piece of the pie. With Rich leaving, it seemed like Lockhart was not that shaken up about being away from Rich. Even if Rich was a dick to work for, if...

The Michael McCorkle "Mac" Jones Thread

Mac is cooked. Tony Eason 2.0. One thing he's generally lauded for is his accuracy, yet I seem to continually see him passing to the backside of a receiver's body or behind him. And these are 10 yard passes. When's the last time he led a guy who could catch the ball in front and run with it?

What does Red Sox starting pitching look like in 2024?

You can certainly go the bottom out route like Houston and Baltimore and load up on top 5 draft picks. That is a plan that appears to work. I'm unsure the market would take kindly to that approach.

What does Red Sox starting pitching look like in 2024?

I am referring to superstars. They have value to a franchise beyond on the field. Ohtani to me is an easy sign and should not disrupt the rest of your plan.

What does Red Sox starting pitching look like in 2024?

I think some of the back-and-forth over whether or not to sign an Ohtani seems based on what you think of the "budget." "Oh, that signing doesn't make sense because of the budget. We need to allocate money to starting pitching, etc." As a fan, I could not care less about the self-imposed...

What does Red Sox starting pitching look like in 2024?

I suspect the "relationship" with Jim Davis/New Balance means that if he signs with Boston, New Balance would significantly up his endorsement deal. It's a local company.

The Red Sox have fired Chaim Bloom

He probably sealed his fate by not dumping Paxton and Duvall money and then going 18-22 since the deadline

    Sports Cards Mania

That Jordan rookie sat in a penny sleeve as part of the full set (132 cards and the 11 sticker - the Jordan sticker graded an 8, too) in a little white set box in my mother's attic for over 20 years. Among a bunch of 25 cent packs here and there, I bought a box of 86 Fleer packs at Ayotte's...
