    Trouba situation is why I don’t begrudge player holdouts and other tricks to get what they want. As NHL teams will do the same to them in a heartbeat. No reason to tie your hands behind your back just to placate the fan base. The team GM is not going to do it.

    Here's the problem with that... there is no proof of any long term ability to pick competitive teams. The ones that have probably shown it the longest for any amount of time is Ozzie Newsome and Bill Belichick. I mean Pete Carrol and Schneider were the toast of the town for a stretch there...

    I think the fact he led with his forearm into Lawrence's head is what sealed the deal for the suspension. If he had gone for a "wrap up" tackle and hit high, he could have maybe made an argument that it was "football play" gone wrong. Yet the video shows him diving in with his forearm loaded up...
