    Offseason rumors

This is a brutal but honest description of Red Sox owners. The honest part is that they are and continue to be willing to spending the revenue they make (huzzah!). In Kennedy's defense, There are some clubs that don't even do that. The brutal part is that nobody buys a sports team to turn an...

    Week 5 Game Thread

deciding they were moving on from Rodgers is not the same as saying they believe Love is “the guy” - the sooner that people who get paid to manage football clubs realize this the sooner the pay scale for mediocre talent like Daniel Jones will adjust

    6/7 Isles @ Boston

Yes. I watched this game and a thousand other just like it. Somebody’s always on the wrong side of bad officiating in the NHL. It didn’t stand in the way of Bruins getting 44 shots in net and only giving up 19. Islanders got playoff caliber goaltending and the Bruins did not. That was the...

    6/7 Isles @ Boston

Folks are upset that there were some non-calls that should have gone against the Islanders…44 -19 wasn’t enough of a shots advantage? 5 goals on 19 shots - win probability = 0

    6/7 Isles @ Boston

Cassidy better have a really good explanation for sticking with this version of Tuuka Rask as long as he did. No lateral movement, deep in the net on his knees prematurely. Way to timid for my taste.

    6/3 - Y'Hall Ready for This?

Just so I’m clear on the rules, how often do you have to be great to be a great player? Some of the time, more often than not, most of the time, substantially all of the time? It’s a little confusing.

    6/3 - Y'Hall Ready for This?

You are right, he was. He had played great up until that point and I was thrilled for him and us! And then he didn’t, and Binnington did. Same story as Game 2 this series. As a result some B’s fans don’t trust him, they don’t hate him. He’s the only one that can rewrite the script. I hope he does.

    6/3 - Y'Hall Ready for This?

Simply not true. Nor are any of the 6 guys ahead of him. He’s an overall excellent goalie who has been anything but one of the best playoff goalies of all time. He got badly outplayed by a rookie in Game 7 against the Blues. If you need a reminder… View: https://youtu.be/Ptc6tOMa3n8

    6/3 - Y'Hall Ready for This?

i am happy for him too. He has not been incredible this whole postseason imo. Game 2 he made some great saves and overall was very good, but he let in at least 2 goals that were borderline soft. Again last night he was incredible in OT and the end of the 3rd but he got caught out of position...

2019 NFL Week 12 Game Thread

Rogers looks to me like a guy who refuses to put in the time to sharpen up his technique as his otherworldly talent declines. Everything’s a little sloppy and he doesn’t have the pure athleticism to bail him out as often

    DD fired

DD was brought in to build a team that would compete every year. With $150M payroll JH might put up with some volatility in season to season results but for $225M you better compete every year. By that measure he failed, and in pretty spectacular fashion. Not only did they fail to compete this...
