    Swihart traded to Dbacks

That article is 11-years old and only includes Hall of Fame players, not all players.

W.S. Hangover Cures: The Devil is in the Details...

The real shocker is winning a series and sweeping the Rays without any contribution from Blake Swihart.

They go a combined 2-13 in the series.

    Eovaldi to the IL

Probably because he wasn't joking. This from Thursday from Jerry; "I’m ready to count this season as a loss. Start looking forward to 2020 and beyond. We need to find our future at 2B and find a decent MLB caliber catcher."

Rosenthal: Sale extension 5 years, $145 million

Yeah, they're already going to be one game behind the Yankees and Jacoby Ellsbury.

Not really certain that an effective way to build a MLB team is to select a group of free agents from a given position and just simply sign the one who'll take the least amount of money. Not effective, not even remotely realistic. The notion of this plan is pretty absurd. "Hey Zach, DD here...

    Poll: Sox 2019 Bullpen

Bud Norris is a guy who I've not seen mentioned. He struggled down the stretch last season, but was pretty good for the Cardinals overall. Has a bit of a reputation as a clubhouse cement head, but he's not alone there. He is 33 ... but he's fairly new to being a full-time reliever. He has...

Your quote in that sentence did not come from me. My guess is anytime someone disagrees with you, you consider it trolling ... Brach's dreadful numbers have been discussed here ad nauseam ... if you think he's the best left on the board and he has to be great because Theo Epstein signed him...

He also signed Edwin Jackson to a 4-year big money deal. Are you suggesting he's incapable of making a mistake? No idea what it is you're trying to say with your post, but I'm assuming you're just trolling.

    Poll: Sox 2019 Bullpen

Still holding out hope that they can/will bring Kimbrel back. Don't see it as DD better sign (name a bunch of guys, all pretty bad, which is why most are unsigned ... and no, I don't consider Kimbrel bad because he's unsigned, before I get accused of that.) If they do sign CK, we're not having...

    Poll: Sox 2019 Bullpen

You're pretty sensitive. Sorry I questioned you're obvious superiority. Brach's WHIP was 1.6. That's terrible in any league. You've conceded that he's lost velocity. I doubt DD is thinking about him at all, nevermind asking if there's something they can "fix". But that's just me. Madson...

    Poll: Sox 2019 Bullpen

Just so I'm clear, fans are advocating signing a 38-year old possible comeback candidate who was last seen being embarrassed by the Sox on the games biggest stage, and coming off a bad year ... and Brach, who was putrid, but they're going to try to "fix" him and then the bullpen is going to be...

    Poll: Sox 2019 Bullpen

Is it a low-cost veteran people are voting for, or do people actually want Brach or Madson? I can't believe anyone who saw Brach or Madson pitch in 2018 would vote to have the Sox sign either of those two.

So, Bard was 27, which isn't really close to 30 in baseball years and was awful right from the beginning of 2012, not just the second half. Great point though.

The Craig Kimbrel from the past, the one where, you watched him pitch and you couldn't believe anyone could actually hit any of his pitches, or ever take him deep or anything is impossible (almost) to replace. The Craig Kimbrel we saw in 2018 and then through the playoffs is not that difficult...

Again, given that only 3 players in all of baseball actually fit the criteria you created, and yet you still missed adding one of them (Edwin Diaz) to your "list" of qualifications, I don't think it was a good catch. I'm guessing the point of your post was to establish how good Craig Kimbrel...

    Building a Bullpen, 2019 edition

This post makes no sense. Only 3 closers in baseball had over 40 saves. Edwin Diaz also makes your list ... so the only closer with 40+ saves who doesn't is Wade Davis.
