72 Suburbs in Search of a City: Anthony Davis to Los Angeles Lakers

Brogdon’s restricted. It would be funny to see them add Harris to their F rotation.

And let’s face it, if the one bolts for greener pastures the other will demand a trade there. ;)

But Klutch’s owner will no longer be playing for the Lakers which will end their loyalty to the organization.

    2019 Draft

I’d be stunned if Doumbouya was there at 14. Okpala’s an interesting prospect, he’s got all the physicals to be a modern NBA F, he’s long, athletic, has a good frame that should be able to carry 230-240, but there’s just something missing upstairs. He’s sort of a poor man’s Cam Reddish, he’s...

    2019 Draft

They’ve had he and Jalen Lecque in for multiple workouts, I can live with either at 51 even though they’re both long-term prospects.

Last summer no one would have given up a late lottery pick for Terry Rozier, even in this draft. He will be paid substantially more than the full MLE. The two statements are not contradictory. However if you're saying that Ingram is as valuable as Scary Terry I'm not going to quibble.

Byerie Irving? Do you want Kyrie back?

The Clippers did leak that they had tried to trade for Irving this past season. But obviously there was no way to know what they were offering.

LeBron rolled out the red carpet to get Davis to LA for the Lakers, I’m not sure what else he was supposed to do given the LA front office’s ineptitude. Had they drafted well they wouldn’t have needed all those picks, but they haven’t.

72 Suburbs in Search of a City: Anthony Davis to Los Angeles Lakers

The one thing about Father Time is that he remains undefeated. The age 34 LeBron is no longer head & shoulders better than his peers. He’s still a top 5 player for sure, but the decline’s begun. The draft picks are coming in his age 37-39 seasons. The odds of his remaining a top 5 player for...

Byerie Irving? Do you want Kyrie back?

I think that current league rules require the asset going back be a tangible one, so it would need to be an actual second rounder. But, yes, that’s the form the deal would take, Irving/#1 for a second rounder.

I don’t think any of us were looking for a Klay Thompson outcome for Tatum. The guy I always used as a ceiling comp for Tatum was Pierce, and that’s still the best case scenario for him given that Tatum will only be seven months older than Pierce was as a rookie next year.

And having Rozier on a reasonable deal opens up a lot of trade avenues for them next summer. Had T-Ro signed one in October he’d probably have been the ballast for a Davis deal. The talk was Houston being interested in Horford, I think Boston might potentially be interested as part of a three...

Allow me to introduce you to the Buss family... I might not take him before DeAndre Hunter much less Morant or Barrett. Barrett might be the closest to Ingram in terms of game, but he’s more athletic and actually tries on the defensive end. In addition to the points that Cellar Door made...

Byerie Irving? Do you want Kyrie back?

It would have been a possibility if Irving was still with 24/7 because Ainge has good working relationships with most of those guys (including Wechsler, Irving’s guy there), but now a moot point since he’s moved on to the Nets in-house group ( ;) ). However, the way the deal would look is...

    Rich Paul/SI Article....

I mean we all know he’s talking about Croshere since he was the only player in that era to get drafted in the lottery (Williams missing the cut as Boston made the playoffs by default).

In general I agree, the one situation where I could see it happening is with Houston given the Capela rumors floating around. With Golden State’s losses I could see Houston gambling on the down year to strike. Capela aligns better, age-wise, with the rest of the roster.

I mean the fact is that one of the guys that has actual star potential will likely be there when they pick. So they could conceivably walk out of this draft with a future all star. And I do agree that they likely convert 20 or 22 into a future pick.

That will be in the post-draft pick era. It would be hilarious if the Pelicants pick up three lottery picks from the Lakers and trade Zion there for even more.

A sign & trade is certainly a possibility. Kygone means that someone’s going to have to make a yuuuuge offer to get Boston to balk. And offering Terry Rozier 4/80 is how you go from GM to writing for Yahoo Sports.

My guess is that the Irving/Rozier replacement is Rozier.
