    iPhone Battery Replacement

You can also get an iphone 12 replacement battery for $25-30, watch a youtube video, and replace it yourself. Prpbably takes less of your own time than it would to go in to the Apple store and have them do it. It requires a few basic tools that you might already have, if not that's another...

    Which play was worse?

Yes, and also Pat's breakdown. View: https://youtu.be/cjtjGyKO30Y?si=56ICxSN7aLBKd4Ro Notoriety-wise it's the Butt Fumble, but coaching/play-calling wise it's the fake punt.

Tim Wakefield has passed away from brain cancer at 57 (10/1 update)

One of my all-time favorites. He could be frustrating to watch when the knuckler wasn't dancing, but when he was on it was just joyous absurdity—especially when he let loose an occasional 72 MPH “fastball” that some major leaguer flailed at hopelessly. I wrote this to some friends earlier today...

Recommend me a 55-65 inch TV

Amazon has various 25mm M8 screws (various head shapes, at least Allen, Torx, and Phillips options) with Prime shipping for under $10. If you hate them, Mcmaster-Carr has a zillion options, but shipping will take longer.

    ZIP Disks

I remember wondering why my dad wanted to get a 30MB hard drive for our PC/XT, it's easy enough just to change floppies and save all that money. Smash cut to: (The latter is my headphones, which show up as a drive when plugged in to charge).

    ZIP Disks

When I was on campus, we had Ethernet in the dorms. When I moved off-campus we were concerned we were going to be stuck on ISDN DOV modems at 64kbps, but we instead wound up on one of the early ADSL tests with thunderous speeds and a 24/7 connection: A group of 100 students, faculty and staff...

That was then: Celebrating what was

After hearing so many people talk about how it was a sure thing if they'd just given it to Lynch, their very next game (the opener of the next season) they had a chance to prove it. Final play of the game, Seattle 4th & 1, they hand it off to Lynch: (9:11) (No Huddle, Shotgun) M.Lynch left...

    Mouse Stuttering When Gaming

Wireless mouse was my first guess, too, but it sounds like that's been investigated: “I picked up a Logitech G502 Hero corded mouse and I’m still seeing the same behavior.” I'm with Nip, getting rid of anything running in the background—starting with antivirus—is the next thing I'd try.

Giving up on being an athlete: the pickleball thread

Roger. FWIW, this varies from club to club. The first rule of my pickleball club is No Cargo Pants. But Don't Talk About Pickleball Club is a close #2.

    Internet Speeds

Some things to maybe try looking at/ruling out: Possibility #1: Your router is dual band (5Ghz and 2.4Ghz) and the desktop for some reason is connecting on the other band from everything else (older wifi cards only do 2.4Ghz). Or if your router is crazy new it could be tri-band, similar deal...

Giving up on being an athlete: the pickleball thread

I only ever played in junior high/high school and always thought of it as primarily a kid's game, but thought it'd also be great for older folks.Nice to see it filling that niche now. I don't think it has the same distinction as wiffleball, though: the pitching there is insane and requires...
