    My main issue with Kornet is that he doesn’t really have the bulk to hold his position against stronger players. Like what @benhogan said but I wouldn’t call it “soft”.

    As hard as it would be to accept in the moment, I feel like the best hope for the Patriots is that some team goes all in for their pick like the Panthers did with the Bears. That would have been a great move for Chicago even if Bryce Young had been the right pick.

    Your findings suggest that shots made are not truly random, independent variables, right? That would make sense simply in that defensive strategy, etc will adapt to offenses.

    Amen to that. Also it’s pretty clear we’re going to see a ton of lineup and roster experimentation for the first half of the season, maybe even all of it. This is going to lead to a fair share of bad possessions. And yes, losses.

    The rebounding was atrocious. You can chalk up free throws and shots to variance but the effort was down across the board (visible in the passing too) and you could see it. Long season and there’s a reason why some games are schedule losses.

    It seems possible that all the “second round” quarterbacks end up getting drafted in the back half of the first. There’s certainly a demand for them.
