    Dame Time heading to Milwaukee

I can’t stand Butler, he’s one of my least favorite players in the NBA, but I am pretty confident that he’s kidding in that video

    The Celtics Offseason

Is there a way to get Holiday without giving up White and/or TL?

    The Celtics Offseason

I am a big Jrue fan and I agree with this. With the injury issues and/or age related risk of Horford/KP/TL, I think you have to keep all 3. I would like Brogdon+picks to be explored heavily but I can’t find a great match out there

    Dame Time heading to Milwaukee

Do the Heat have enough to get Jrue? It seems like the Blazers just don’t like what the Heat have to offer

X Leaves the Spot for San Diego: 11 years, $280M

Right, and the jumping off point of this discussion was that some people were saying that they wouldn't want to sign Bogaerts to a 6 year, 160M deal because it would be blocking Mayer from playing SS. While a 110 OPS+, 3-4 win player is very valuable, it's also not a player where you alter all...

    Dame Time heading to Milwaukee

I don't know, I'd be looking at it the other way. He was never going to play in Milwaukee. In Portland, he could actually get minutes and earn a better contract going forward.

    Dame Time heading to Milwaukee

I don't see the delta between Jrue and Lillard as THAT large. If the Bucks stay healthy, they will be very dangerous but comparing this to Shaq/Kobe or saying the title is theirs to lose is definitely getting caught up in the moment...so, it makes perfect sense that Perk would go that route

    Dame Time heading to Milwaukee

I am pretty confused from almost every teams perspective in that deal...I guess the Blazers did the best of the 3 teams? PHX must have really wanted to get rid of Ayton. Portland can flip Jrue later for more assets, can have him mentor Scoot in the meantime. Bucks improve a lot on offense, got...

Ime Udoka suspended for the 22-23 season

I feel like I am pretty in the know in regards to the Celtics and I also had no idea that her identity was already known

    The Celtics Offseason

I would think it’s highly unlikely he ran that by Tatum. Smart was pretty beloved by his teammates and I think Brad would recognize emotions would run raw with that trade

    Pats sign JuJu Smith-Schuster

It's hard to overstate the gulf between the first 3 receivers on this list and DJ Chark.

    The Celtics Offseason

I would HATE to lose White, but I think this nails it. Lillard is a stone cold shotmaker and closer, and I think JT has enough reverence/respect for Dame to recognize that he would be the guy to get the ball in those close and late situations. The 4 of them plus Horford or TimeLord is just an...

So....who is the new GM/head of baseball ops?

Your original argument was that Dombrowski made a bad trade because the players he traded, if they weren’t injured, would be really good. I have honestly never seen this argument made ever (in baseball or any sport)

    You would definitely think so

X Leaves the Spot for San Diego: 11 years, $280M

The $ off per year question may as well be rhetorical. We all know how to do math, I don’t know what repeating the math you already did does for anyone….hence why I said that the term mattered a lot. As far as Bogaerts making an offer to the Sox, I would think they did but I honestly don’t...

X Leaves the Spot for San Diego: 11 years, $280M

The term matters though. I mean, it matters a lot. It’s incredibly likely that this was Bogaerts last big contract. I think it’s pretty obvious that he would want more than 4 years..unless the $ per year amount was just insane, which $90M is not

So....who is the new GM/head of baseball ops?

Saying that Moncada and Kopech would be big losses except for injuries is some impressive mental gymnastics. Dombrowski built teams that were very top heavy with very little depth on the 40. I maintain that your original point, and the point you keep repeating, is incredibly wrong. He wouldn’t...

    2024 Core

Someone else proposed this idea in a different thread and the general consensus was that Trout's contract was so under water that people would pass

So....who is the new GM/head of baseball ops?

To add to the chorus, I don't agree with this at all. Dombrowski was a very good talent evaluator. As others have pointed out, his issue was that he wasn't great along the margins in trades. He would gladly include the 4th prospect where most GM's would draw the line at 3. That amount of...

X Leaves the Spot for San Diego: 11 years, $280M

Agree to disagree. I don't think there's any upside to the 4/90 offer. He wasn't going to accept it and there's a downside where he feels disrespected and doesn't want to negotiate. It seems like you basically just disagree with the term "insulting". But, I will just ask you straight up, do you...
