    2023 Mocks

Ok is that really a photo of Jack Campbell, LB? He looks like he’s addressing the Midwestern Regional Executive Sales managers on the subject of “Know Your Cheese”

    2023 Mocks

Ahh that makes sense. You were hamstrung by the parameters. Still like the thought. Pick up quality starters (hopefully) and add a potentially high pick for next year.

    2023 Mocks

Some of those years are depressing to view. I guess 11 is fine as you said with specialists…I just am always tempted to package some and move up in next years draft. But I know nothing.

    2023 Mocks

I like that first mock, because I think the Rams pick will be high next year. But that seems like an awful lot of players to draft…

NFL Free Agency Game Thread: Rumors! News! Uneducated Guesses!

it’s an odd list. Look where Cam Fleming is! Bizarre. But I am just struck by how quickly things change, esp for running backs. From the toast of Dallas to forgotten and unwanted man. Beard game still strong though.

So striking to see Zeke and Julio where they are. How times change.

2023 Dolphins: Greatest Show on Surf

Dolphins look poised to make a real AFC run. Lots of smart signings and solid moves. As much as I hate it, have to say I wish them well. This sort of awesome offseason can backfire without subsequent success of course. But whatever happens, I hope Tua stays healthy. I may root for failure, but...

    Boeheim retiring

talk about horsing a dead flog. Hey, Ray, one more puckered simile for the hard-of-thinking crowd?

    John Madden has passed away

Ray Stevenson. Another Vikings guy I think. And Volstagg. I don’t see him as Madden so much, but…I think it would be a little unusual to have an Irish/English actor play Madden, who seems so quintessentially American. But this is a fun game. Better than imagining BB castings…

    John Madden has passed away

also with the lovely Blythe Danner and the very late Melinda Dillon. Good cast. Strong story.

    John Madden has passed away

you know, I never saw Terriers, but knew he played a cop/alcoholic and thought only Nordic crime fiction, and a host of other downbeat narratives (which I like, tbh). I had no idea it was funny. Shame on me. I’ll check it out.

    John Madden has passed away

Logue’s an interesting choice physically. I can only remember him in rather serious or melancholy roles. Could he mimic Madden’s manic energy?

    Super Bowl 57 Prop Contest

Great list though I feel like you may have missed one…how many times will the Kelce brother angle be mentioned /mama Kelce be shown. edit: this would also be the most annoying bet it would also ruin your perfect thirty count. Never mind :)

    Tom Brady is retiring

Also very well said, and more measured in response. I agree...having lost both my parents recently, as well as a close friend, I leap into melancholy at the first opportunity. Not a great place to be. On a lighter note, I remember the 2005–06 arguments (not on this site, but on another lesser...

    Tom Brady is retiring

I took him to mean that Tom won’t have that same source of comfort and guidance after his own divorce…the large family that Joe has made and kept has, in Tom’s case, sundered to a degree. But maybe I’m talking out of my hat.
