    2023 Bullpen

The starter only went four innings. That means the ass end of the bullpen is going to have to pitch. Who else did you have in mind for the 6th, given that Cora is averse to using guys two days in a row?

Since August 28 the Astros have: Swept the Red Sox, two blowouts, one three run game Been swept by the Yankees Swept the Rangers, three total ass-kickings Lost two of three to the A's In danger of being swept by the Royals Is there a more unpredictable team in baseball?

16.49 score. I need to study the turn of the century guys. Even the biggest names give low scores.

24 score. By nature it's all big names, just trying to see where they least likely fit.

    What was Bloom's best acquisition?

Thanks for cherry picking my comment. You left out the entire second half, which includes "as a backup or temporary fill-in.....". If you're going to quote me, give the ENTIRE quote for context next time.

    What was Bloom's best acquisition?

Wow, a second baseman that provides a 100 OPS+ and is positive in both oWAR and dWAR "stinks"? I know the fan base was spoiled by Pedroia for years, but who did you have in mind as those available "better players"? As a backup or temporarly fill-in he's exactly the kind of guy that "winning...

Bloom, Cora -- Do they stay or do they go?

I agree 100%. The 2023 team isn't a WS contender, but in my eyes they're far better than a .500 also-ran. They'll click and play hungry for a week, then lapse back into prolonged stretches of boneheaded running and defense and making foolish outs at the plate. I had them pegged for 86 wins...

Bloom, Cora -- Do they stay or do they go?

For the 7,465th time, a team doesn't "let a player go" if he's a free agent. That means he can explore offers from any and all teams that are interested to maximize his value and/or sign with the team that fits his needs best. That's the player's choice, not the team's. I'm not sure why this...

Throwing this out there since I don't know the answer: There are currently seven teams with a better record on the road than at home: Orioles, Blue Jays, Nats, Tigers, Astros, Braves, Reds. The Red Sox are even. This seems like a lot. Anyone know what the record is for teams with a better road...

I understand that the 103 is my rank, but that's not possible. If 44% of the people playing gave the same answer to one square, just that one answer would put their score higher than mine. 44% of 188 is roughly 85 people. 188-85 = 103. So I came in dead last of the people who DIDN'T answer...

Ok, the numbers here don't add up. 7 of my 9 squares are 1% or less and none are over 3%. Every square has a "most popular" answer of at least 30%. 44% had the same Astros/150 steals guy. Yet I'm only 103/188? That makes no sense. It isn't mathematically possible.
