    Rethinking Barstool?

The clash of two titans who built their empires on the most absolute, lowest common denominator, clickbait trash content possible, designed to be circulated on facebook by the dull cousin you muted 10 years ago. The "Doctors Hate this One Weird Trick!" Bowl.

    The Tiger Thread

If he has misses like he did on 11 and 14 at Augusta at a US Open, he's not converting those into birdies and pars, he'll be dead. The US Open is the major he's least likely to win again.

    The Tiger Thread

I think he'll get to #1 and relatively soon, because the vast majority of the events he plays now are the ones that give out the most world ranking points - majors, Players, WGC's, and the playoff events.* He's exempt for life for three of the four majors, and for all practical purposes will be...

    2019 Masters

And his playing partner in the final round was Lee Westwood making his Masters debut. I think if you watch the broadcast you get a glimpse of young Westy for about 1 whole second.

    2019 PGA Tour

Definitely the best golfer to be banned by the Asian Tour for cheating.

The players. But they kind of complain about everything.

    2019 PGA Tour

Cantlay started leaking oil some the last couple of holes, but it wasn't like he collapsed. Tiger just went nuclear. Goodness.

    2019 PGA Tour

Kinda weird that he's been dealing with this neck strain for "a few weeks" but played in Mexico. Oh well, nothing to see here I'm sure. Tiger and Steiny have been nothing but transparent and candor-ious? when it comes to injuries.

    Murray... Present (in the NFL)

Oakland knew the risks and looks terrible here. This is hardly scientific, but I just looked through a few mock drafts from June (CBS, MLB.com, Fangraphs) and none of them projected Murray as a first-round pick. The uncertainty about which sport he'd play probably had a lot to do with that...

    The Lakers Reality Show

Yeah I’m not sure how much credit the front office gets for “LeBron said he was going to sign with you and you didn’t say no.”

    The Ringer

Shackhouse is done. They're "reconfiguring" the golf pod and Shackleford is no longer involved. House and Bill discussed the changes to the pod in today BS Podcast (very oddly, not mentioning Geoff at all), and Geoff confirmed on twitter. "Sadly no more and not really sure why. @ringer...

    College Football Playoff Game Thread - ND/Clem & Bama/Okla

Dabo should never leave and I think he's smart enough to know that. These two programs are a cut above everyone else in college football and should play each other every year.

Rename the Red Sox AAA Team!

If that is how such a name is created, then the process bears repeating because that name is great. Mombo mentioned it already but it was really just a re-brand to boost interest and attendance. One year in, not looking like it's made any difference. They did a contest for the new name as...

    Rethinking Barstool?

Yes, because of their association with Portnoy. Edit: responding to Red(s)HawksFan

    Rethinking Barstool?

I'll admit I don't get much exposure to Barstool outside of Chaps and PFT, but I have no idea what that guy's appeal is supposed to be. Is it just that he's the guy who started it all so they all have to suck up to him? Imagine part of your job being to puff up Dave Portnoy.

    RIP, Dr. Z

Forgivable miss at the end aside, that snippet alone brings back memories of his work. Quality analysis mixed in with great wit, with a needed dose of irreverence.

Paul Azinger to replace Johnny Miller on NBC Golf

Agreed, I think the Fox broadcasts are getting better and better and he's a big part of that. Granted, that's "better and better" from Chambers Bay, which was a very low bar to clear. Now if we could just get Ken Brown on a similar deal to see him more often... I'm curious if Zinger will be...

Paul Azinger to replace Johnny Miller on NBC Golf

I still like Johnny, but news of his retiring isn't exactly surprising, seems like he'd been cutting his schedule back a bit in recent years. I like Zinger a lot, and am really looking forward to him on the Ryder Cup broadcasts.

Who has seen a triple play?

I did see one but can't remember for sure which game. It was definitely a Braves game at Turner Field, and using Baseball Almanac's index, it's probably either May 6, 2004 against the Padres or April 29, 2007 against the Rockies. But either that site or Retrosheet is spreading fake news about...
