Commit and fuck your score? It usually takes a couple of months for swing changes to take effect in my experience. You'll have good days and bad days and you'll never full dial it in. If you do, remember us when we ask for tickets to the Masters.

    Game 4 - Bruins @ Blues

Will Marchand ever shoot the fucking puck? Just a horrible decision.

Yeah, that's total BS on the lost ball. Hard to comment on the GIR without seeing it but what's the point of competing if you're not playing by the rules? Does your men's club pay thousands of dollars in prizes or something?

You've seen him putt. That was a par for sure. @FL4WL3SS, you've played Bandon and Whistling Straights so far this year. Any preference?

You should not have taken a penalty for knocking some flowers off a gorse bush with a practice swing since it does not improve the conditions affecting the stroke (rule 8.1 in both USGA and R&A). https://www.randa.org/en/rog/2019/rules/the-rules-of-golf/rule-8 Also check this video (though...

So are they asking you to post illegitimate rounds? The USGA won't let you post rounds you play by yourself, no matter how many balls you hit. You can, of course, post 9 hole rounds and can even post rounds where you played at least 13 holes.

Guess who has to be in Raleigh for work next week? If the timing works out I'll be looking for a ticket too.

On the topic of shoes, I got some Sketchers golf shoes this year and they are by far the most comfortable pair of golf shoes I've ever owned (I walk every round). I wore them for the first time for 4+ rounds at Bandon with no blisters or foot pain at all. If you're a spikeless kind of golfer...

You don't need to spend a lot to upgrade from an r5. Last year's top drivers will be like $200 on Ebay. 2017 models will be $100. Hell, I have enough clubs kicking around in my garage that I could upgrade you for the cost of shipping and I'm sure most of the guys on here have a similar...

Just going to reinforce that you've chosen your courses wisely. Paiute Wolf is great golf course with nothing but desert as your views. Snow is nice too, but not as nice. I love TPC Las Vegas too. Hated Bali Hai and have played it lots of times. The damn airplanes are so annoying. Desert...

    2019 Masters

It's an interesting pool where we pick 5 people. 1 is designated the winner (Rory for me) and one has to be outside the top 30 (Jordan Speith). Tiger is just one of the 5 I need to make it through the cut. I agree Rory is going to win. He looks like he's been tuning his game for this all year.

    2019 Masters

Jennifer Kupcho grew up playing out of one my frequent local muni courses. I had no idea who she was until this weekend, but now I'm hoping to round out her foursome some random Tuesday afternoon or something. The Masters is basically the sole reason I keep a large TV in my office with a...

This is one of the reasons I loved my old men's club. There was competition play available every day and it was all 100% by the book, putt it into the hole rules. I know that sounds like it should be the case everywhere, but it's absolutely not. I've never played in another men's club that...

I hope you're right. My men's club has learned to adopt a "stays as is unless explicitly asked" so you don't have to ask on every shot but it hasn't deterred those few guys who are particular about their way and don't care how it effects you. If you can win upwards of $25 in pro shop credits...

Leaving the flag in has, so far, in my experience been a horrible rule change. Since no one agrees on whether they want it in or out, in a competitive setting it's constantly being taken out, put back in, taken out, put back in. It's not only a pain in the ass to deal with on every green, it's...

Done similar on a short par 4 at Pumpkin Ridge in Portland (#17), except it was from about 40 yards out and was for an eagle. Worst eagle I've ever made.

It's happened to me as well, but more like Tiger's. 18 at Bandon Dunes (on Bandon) I hit my third (par 5) from about 100 out, bounced once, hit the flag stick and it ricocheted hard right, off the green and into the lateral hazard (all gorse so no going in). I don't remember what my score was...
