    Sean Payton to Denver

Between all the picks used up on Wilson and Peyton, this roster better be A LOT better than the results were last season. Otherwise, this is a road to nowhere.

    NFL Playoffs - Championship Round

Left knee hyperextension for Mahomes to add injury to insult.

    NFL Playoffs - Championship Round

Without Jimmy G seems they they were mostly F'd if Purdy went out and entirely F'd if Johnson went out. Not much more complicated than that.

    NFL Playoffs - Championship Round

Beyond a few trick plays I wonder if Shanahan thinks they even have an offense for this situation. Do they even have 10-15 plays CMC as QB? Any actual passes? Not to mention CMC is hurt and Mitchell is out. Total disaster

Guessing runs and bubble screens but who knows, maybe he can do more than he thinks he can with the adrenaline.

    NFL Playoffs - Championship Round

I wonder if the 49ers are regretting not pushing to get Jimmy G ready as a backup. Maybe not medically possible, but it seemed close. If Purdy ruptured his UCL (and potentially injured the overlying flexor tendon) he may just not be able to throw. Sometimes ulnar nerve issues transiently on a...

    Joe Mazzulla, come on down.

From my limited personal experience (“good” high school basketball player at a small school), felt to me like there was some value of routine and a quick mental re-set as well. If I had to play entire halves without a break, it felt harder to be sharp and make the right read, even if physical...

    Joe Mazzulla, come on down.

I think it’s defensible given Smart/Rob hurt, Jaylen foul trouble, long break after the game, etc, like you said. I have no stats to back it up, but anecdotally Tatum seems to play worse on these super long stretches without a break for an entire half+ (of course he also didn’t play well in the...

    1/28 vs LAL

The idea that the NBA would prefer the "star-filled" Los Angeles Lakers to be the 13th seed in the west is comical. Lebron was obviously fouled on the last play, though the refs were an abomination both ways all night. Just add that one call to the list, there were so many horrible ones I...

    Joe Mazzulla, come on down.

Tatum admitted he was tired and frankly he looked tired in the finals. Hard to know for sure, but seems like this is a pretty likely contributing factor to his play. Regardless, I agree with you he's young and big minutes in a few January games isn't that big of a deal.... but it does feel like...

    1/28 vs LAL

Westbrook total fake injury grabbing his head. Awful call

    1/28 vs LAL

These refs have been atrociously bad both ways all game. I can't keep track anymore who has the edge.

    1/28 vs LAL

It's weird to go from scoring 120+ per game to 95 per game overnight. Injuries sure, but our main guys have mostly been playing aside from Smart.

1/21/23 Celtics @ Raptors: Boston's Ford Hit the First Trey, Toronto's Ford Hit the Bad Yay

Way more concerned about a left knee issue for Rob than than Marcus ankle sprain. Gross.

1/21/23 Celtics @ Raptors: Boston's Ford Hit the First Trey, Toronto's Ford Hit the Bad Yay

Grande on the TV broadcast said Marcus yelled it's his knee but I agree almost certainly ankle.

If anyone is also watching the Chiefs game as well, Mahomes and Marcus had the exact opposite ankle injury mechanism. High ankle eversion for Mahomes, low ankle inversion for Marcus. Low ankle far more common in basketball than a high ankle.

1/21/23 Celtics @ Raptors: Boston's Ford Hit the First Trey, Toronto's Ford Hit the Bad Yay

Looked like an ankle sprain to me, didn't seem like knee. Scal said "high ankle" but I'd bet more of a traditional low lateral ankle sprain.

Glad Scal called Grant out for that absolutely atrocious take foul...WTF was that??

Lol Mahomes doesn't want to get an X-Ray.

    NFL Playoffs - Divisional Round

Almost certainly is.... just a question how high grade the sprain is and if there is a also a fracture. Anything more than low grade he is going to be very compromised out there.
