    Jaylen Brown, Year 7

Meh. He said he’s trying to be an advocate for some of the things Kyrie sees. As far as I’m aware, the only thing he’s advocated for regarding Kyrie is his ability to not suffer consequences for promoting and spreading antisemitic hate.

Kyrie is an antisemite. And we have schadenfreude?

Did you listen to the press conference? I’ve been very vocal on my views of what Kyrie said and support of him being highly problematic. Lebron’s comments aren’t because the point he’s making is that both Kyrie and Jones did unacceptable/wrong things and the media treatment of them is...

    Jaylen Brown, Year 7

Just so folks remember, this is not the first time Jaylen has expressed the view that calling out antisemitism is a “form of an oppressive thought to try to silence our voices.” View: https://twitter.com/JaredWeissNBA/status/1281706577410560010

    Jaylen Brown, Year 7

Nope. He also doesn’t say anything regretful or apologetic or address who it was whose voices he magnified and denounce the hateful message they preach. Saying “I didn’t know” without more is pretty much worthless.

Kyrie is an antisemite. And we have schadenfreude?

I tend to think people have an independent obligation (as humans, not legal) not to propagate, endorse, or support hate speech. I also would hope that to the extent the players and the union think it’s better business for them to deny antisemitism rather than confront it (or at least avoid...

Kyrie is an antisemite. And we have schadenfreude?

This is a false binary. Jaylen and the Union could have defended against the punishment without denying and downplaying Kyrie’s antisemitism. They chose to do the latter, and it betrays either a callous disregard of how serious an issue antisemitism and the hate speech Kyrie promoted is or...

Kyrie is an antisemite. And we have schadenfreude?

If a player/owner posted something denying the existence of and atrocities associated with slavery and propagating further racist stereotypes and themes, and then that person repeatedly refused to condemn that content as false/hateful and did so while using turns of phrase associated with the...

Kyrie is an antisemite. And we have schadenfreude?

Jaylen went way past appropriately supporting a player or enforcing CBA rights. He went out of his way to repeatedly declare Kyrie isn’t antisemitic, and to state a belief that this is just about “sensitivity around dialect.” His statement clearly implies a view that Kyrie is being victimized...

I need to sleep on it, but this may be it for me as a Celtics fan.

That 9 guys averaging 30 points stat is silly. Why not compare to what is historically true at this point in the season so it has some meaning instead of none?

Jaylen needed to be looking to pass on that drive. The defense was keyed on him.

They don’t need a great 3rd string 5, they need their first string 5 on the court. I’m starting to think that this is the season Horford shifts to a bench role, and I think the he current roster is constructed such that we’re not going back to the 2-big rotation we ran last year. The 4 role is...

Kyrie is an antisemite. And we have schadenfreude?

So, Durant thinks Jews shouldn’t care about Kyrie’s very public very antisemitic statements, but he thinks that he can get away with expressing that view by doing it implicitly rather than explicitly? There’s obviously a way to read this as criticizing Kyrie too, but I think the last line...

    11/2 Celtics @ Cavs

There was a borderline blocking foul there too though, so I don’t think no whistle is inappropriate.

    11/2 Celtics @ Cavs

If they pull out this game they will be opening the season 5-2 with 4 of those 7 games against teams who will finish top 6 or better in the East. Not sure what you’re not loving about that start with a key starter injured.

Kyrie is an antisemite. And we have schadenfreude?

Kyrie’s statement is not an apology and, if anything, makes it clear he actually is antisemitic since he cannot bring himself to condemn it.
