    Celtics Offseason Primer

I'm not sure what about this season, this playoff run, or last night's game leads you to believe Horford is cooked. He put up 19 points and 14 boards in 39 minutes, and was one of the three guys who actually played with force and pride. Is there reason for concern given his age? Sure. Reason...

    Celtics Offseason Primer

The list of free agents this offseason is pretty grim, but the guy who I've long thought would be a great fit is Daniel House. He can shoot the 3, plays strong defense, and was one of the only guys who showed up in the playoffs as Utah was collapsing. He's a career 36% shooter from three, but...

    Mentality heading into next season

Edit: moved to the Offseason Primer thread, felt like a better spot for my post.

    Smart for Lonzo, baby!

    NBA Finals Game 6--Resiliency

Well, he got run off the court in a clinching Game 6 at the Garden, so maybe they have a little in common?

    NBA Finals Game 6--Resiliency

He gave a pretty douchey response to a question during media day yesterday about what he'd learned this playoffs that amounted to "I made 1st Team All-NBA, so that's something." If he doesn't want the smoke, he should stop doing the Kobe tribute shit.

    NBA Finals Game 6--Resiliency

Unless they announce a shoulder surgery tomorrow, I don't want to hear about Tatum as a top 10 guy until after Christmas.

    Celtics vs. Warriors, NBA Finals

I couldn't find anything that got you in the door for under $1000 before Game 5.

6/5—NBA Finals, Game 2, Celts at Warriors

Take care of the ball and we run them out of the building. Inconsistent officiating, Marcus was brutal, 0 from Horford, and minimal impact from TL and we're down 2? I hated that Tatum + bench lineup we ran out there at the end of the 1st. Hope we don't see too much of it going forward.

6/2—NBA Finals, Game 1, Celts at Warriors

As a guy who has made a career out of dry stone masonry, I'll say this: if I laid rock the way Draymond shoots the ball, I'd get fired. When I build a rock wall, I get paid. When Draymond does, the Boston Celtics win in 6 games.

I went over to ESPN.com to take a look at the box score, and thought I was having a stroke when I saw all the 0's in the Personal Foul column for our starters after the last two series. I love our chances.

Talking about Curry having an amazing half is a bit of a stretch. They held him scoreless in the 2nd Q. Tremendous first quarter though!

@ilol@u Anything to say about that shot from JB? Just checking.

Same. The doom and gloom here is not unexpected, but goddamn it's a lot sometimes. It's early Game 1 against a team that is, essentially, this generation's Bulls. It might be wise to pump the brakes on sweeping takes about the styles until we're more than 18 minutes into the game.

6/2—NBA Finals, Game 1, Celts at Warriors

Give it time, I think we get there. It's still early in game 1, I'm expecting the defense to come around, and I'm chalking this start up to nerves.
  16. Pollard's Spartan Beard

6/2—NBA Finals, Game 1, Celts at Warriors

I'm just thrilled to a) have an opponent that doesn't make my fucking blood boil just thinking about their style of play and b) not have to wonder what flavor of inconsistent the officiating is going to be due to the presence of Giannis or Lowry. I'm chalking that first Q to nerves. Play some D...

6/2—NBA Finals, Game 1, Celts at Warriors

Yeah, I think I could have been clearer in my initial post. I'm not suggesting that he's a significant offensive contributor from three: clearly, it's his electric, all-Defense level work on that end of the floor that earned Payton his minutes. But I'm of the opinion that the fact that he has...

6/2—NBA Finals, Game 1, Celts at Warriors

Even though Jaren Jackson Jr. had trouble staying on the court due to fouls (no surprise due to his track record on that front), his impact on the defensive end is indicative of how impactful a healthy Timelord would be in this matchup. It’s unrealistic to ask for a pre-injury RW performance...
