    Spurs 21/22: Conte? Conte!!

Allegri must really not rate him if Juve want to get rid even after Chiesa did his ACL and they're left with McKennie and Bernardeschi as wing options.

Bosmania? The 2022 Winter Transfer Window Thread

Lots of Portuguese sources now claiming that Luis Diaz will go to Liverpool for something in the range of 45m euro plus another 15-20m euro in add ons. I assume he's the long term Mane replacement, with Jota in the center and Salah getting a new contract.

    Arsenal 21-22: Brexit FC

Assuming Auba is gone in some capacity, we're down to 18 senior field players by my count if we don't bring anybody in this window. Defenders (7): Tierney, Gabriel, White, Tomi, Nuno, Holding, Cedric Central midfielders (4): Partey, Xhaka, Sambi, Elneny Behind the striker (5): Martinelli...

    Interpersonal player battles/bullying

In the meeting, I would stress that the other kid is a bully, that talking to the team in general about team spirit hasn't worked, and begin by asking the coaches what they plan to do about the situation because the other kid simply isn't stopping. Rather than making a demand up front, I would...

Bosmania? The 2022 Winter Transfer Window Thread

L'Equipe are claiming that Newcastle are now willing to pay 42m euro plus 10m more in bonuses for Guimaraes and that Newcastle have offered to quadruple his current salary. That sounds a bit more realistic given Aulas' reputation as a negotiator. Lots of reports that Burnley is close to...

Time-killing Challenge: HOF Peak Team v. the Bright Shiners Peak-ish Team

Yeah, I don't get that either. There are many more potential Bright Shiners but HOFers are by definition great players so I don't see the reason for skewing the playing field by taking the second best season of one group and the best season of the other.

    2022 Pats Free Agent period

In any case, FA happens before the draft and any summer camp where you'll be able to evaluate your picks, so you basically need to have a projected starter in place prior to the draft and the best case scenario is a Eugene Wilson/Lawyer Milloy type situation where you draft a guy that quickly...

The EFL/Carabao Cup : My B team is better than your B team

Astonished this is still 1-0. Also amazed that Arteta hasn't made any subs as several players look totally unfit. Smith Rowe has been horrendous.

Dioga Jota is really good at football. He just rinsed Ben White.

And that's why Arsenal need a better striker than Lacazette.

The EFL/Carabao Cup : My B team is better than your B team

Both teams look well off the pace. I was glad to see ESR and Tomiyasu on the team sheet but neither one looks anywhere near fit. Liverpool have been solid but don't seem at their sharpest by any means. Great run by Jota, even if he kind of scuffed the finish. Neither side has much to bring...

Americans Abroad 2021-22: The Hype Train Is Leaving The Station

Turner could be taking the Steffen route. A weird fit for Arsenal given Arteta's emphasis on playing out from the back. But maybe they think he could improve there or it simply doesn't matter that much for a backup GK. Leno would presumably be sold if this happens. View...

Bosmania? The 2022 Winter Transfer Window Thread

I guess I don't fully understand how the salary cap stuff works in La Liga. If a player isn't registered, they don't count against the salary cap allocation? If that's the case, why not just deregister a guy like Umtiti (who has played 90 minutes total this season) at the beginning of the year?

Bosmania? The 2022 Winter Transfer Window Thread

Negotiations have broken down because he apparently wants wages practically in the Messi/CR7 stratosphere, so I think it'll be a hard pass from Liverpool. Barca's demand that he leave by the beginning of February reeks of desperation. They probably want to avoid paying him some kind of loyalty...
