    Worst Coach Stories

you are correct for the most part. Kids are still kids. They still know very little. I do think they're coddled more than ever before though. That is probably more of a parent issue, but still...the end result is the end result. It's one thing to talk to your parents to get advice about a...

    Worst Coach Stories

Absolutely. The problem is their coaching training is 95% seeing college and NBA coaches "work the refs" and they grew up with their amateur level coaches yelling at the players...so they do the same. I'm not going to disagree that players are softer than before, but i don't think middle...

    Worst Coach Stories

It should be common sense. But it's not. I see coaches berating 10 year old kids (and the refs) like it's the final four. Like dude....relax. This is 5th grade basketball. Let the kids learn and actually enjoy the game.

    Worst Coach Stories

Yeah, there are a few. I personally like Reed Maltbie.

Please write a coaching book. Seriously. Not joking. The nut bags I see when I'm reffing all need to read it.

    Worst Ref Stories

A little "ref" (I know it's the ump in here) humor in what is a rather dark thread:

    2019 College Football

which is beyond idiotic. Take a 6pm EST time slot. It fills a perfect gap and doesn't screw over your fans/paying base.

    MIA JBJ

When he's hitting like he has been....yes he is. He's not a good enough hitter to justify giving up almost free bases like that.

    MIA JBJ

I have a friend who used to work at Baseball Info Solutions (the data is from 2017), but basically that bunting against that shift had a league wide BA of something like .666. It's absolutely ridiculous that jbj hasn't learned how to do it.

This. So much this. You call it by the book, no one has any right to complain. But the adults will anyway.

Teaching a Kid II- Electric Boogaloo- Hitting

The "stanford" swing. It's also funny when you see coaches teach their pitchers to throw ground balls, and their hitters to also put the ball on the ground...

Teaching a Kid II- Electric Boogaloo- Hitting

i agree with everything but 5. I will admit that 5 is easier to teach to kids though. 5 is one of those myths that has somehow survived. Look at the great hitters in both baseball and softball. They have the same swing.

    Kemba Walker to Boston

I'm thinking Nerlens Noel. Maybe you can get Robin Lopez for the biannual.

    UConn back to Big East?

Let's discuss that in about 2024. If they're not P5 by then, I think they might. *I believe that's around the next time all these conference contracts expire and more realignment is projected to happen.

    UConn back to Big East?

The one thing that you have to look at with this. Long term at least. Yes they may get less money per year BE v. AAC, but how many scholarships, coach salaries and travel do they get to not spend if they eventually just drop football? But there is a real chance that UConn never really comes...

    UConn back to Big East?

the problem with that is it would completely close the doors on joining a P5 conference.

Byerie Irving? Do you want Kyrie back?

Perhaps you shouldn't be so damn lazy. But here, just once cause you obviously need help for something that was widely reported. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2801168-nba-trade-rumors-cavs-would-have-traded-for-kemba-walker-if-lebron-james-stayed...

Byerie Irving? Do you want Kyrie back?

the pick was good enough to be dealt for Kemba Walker before LeBron scuttled it by not committing to CLE before the draft.
