The NFL and the National Anthem

On the hyphen, that just shows how far out of the loop I am as I had no idea he had dropped it. On Ether, yikes, that is a hard listen. I'll stick to Illmatic.

The NFL and the National Anthem

Agree with this completely. I might be mistaken, but I remember reading forever ago that Jay-Z's primary goal was becoming a "brand," before everyone in the entertainment industry had that as their goal. I guess he sees this NFL partnership as another step in that direction? His recent...

Half million in loot stolen from A-Rod’s car in San Francisco

This was my first thought, that he parked on the street rather than in a secure lot at the ballpark. Nice score for whoever broke into the car.

    Excerpt From Jerry Remy Book

No thanks. I'm waiting for the Marty Barrett tell-all! Also, this article pretty well captures my thoughts on the Remys and their kids: https://www.bostonherald.com/2014/03/26/eagan-three-strikes-remys-should-be-out/.

Byerie Irving? Do you want Kyrie back?

Nice. Good to see someone found something lamer than burning a jersey.

Byerie Irving? Do you want Kyrie back?

No shit. Whoever posted "well, maybe now Kyrie will get it!" has zero experience working with people who lack self-awareness. They'll pretend to "get it" for a bit but at the end of the day they are who they are.

    Grant Williams - Pick #22

I did not watch a ton of college ball last season but I liked this dude in the few UT games I saw. Strong, seemed to always be in the right place, resourceful scorer, and high release point which should help his height/vertical limitations. Plus, sounds like he believes the Earth is round...

    The 2nd Season - 2019 Playoff Thread

Yep. And the majority owner thanking everyone but the players by name was a nice touch.

    The 2nd Season - 2019 Playoff Thread

Agreed. The "shit" they need to clean up is Harden and Curry jumping into guys on 3-point attempts.

    5/8 - Dead Ass Team

Yep. Sweetening the day for me was the fact that it was one of my best friend's bachelor weekends. He and a few of our other high school buddies arrived Friday eve, think we went to the Last Drop and the Dugout that night. Saturday day we went to the Sox - Yankees game (Lowe lost a close one)...

    5/8 - Dead Ass Team

That’d be a fitting end to the Kyrie micro-era.

    5/8 - Dead Ass Team

Hey now. I was at a certain game 3 in 2002 and if they come back tonight that’s nothing close to “the greatest redemption arc” in the history of the franchise.

    5/6 vs. Bucks G4

Even with Irving playing well and Hayward playing passably well, the Bucks are still the better team this season. The Pacers series was fools' gold. A limited offensive team without their best offensive player made the Celts look good and some of us forgot the previous 82 games.

    5/6 vs. Bucks G4

I read. Just hated seeing Roy mentioned in the same sentence (regardless of context) as Irving.

    5/6 vs. Bucks G4

I hate that anyone is mentioning Roy in the same sentence as Irving. Seem like complete opposite humans unless I am missing something huge.

5/3 Bucks at Celtics Game 3

Yeah, probably so. Apologies @scottyno - I was a bit fired up after that game.

5/3 Bucks at Celtics Game 3

Yeah. I am hoping for better things in Game 4 and trust that DA knows who he needs to keep/jettison in order for this team to take a step forward over the next few years.

5/3 Bucks at Celtics Game 3

    Yes. Absolutely to this.

5/3 Bucks at Celtics Game 3

But the star treatment thing is a thing and has been for a long time. It benefited Bird, I'd argue it benefited Pierce, and it probably benefits Kyrie. I am no LBJ/Cleveland fan, but my takeaway after last year's series was not "the fix was in." Sometimes the better talent wins. I think...
