NFL announces new punishments for games that are PPD for covid next season

Yeah if you’ve been fine getting toradol shots all this while and suddenly discover an opposition to the Covid vaccine it’s going to be hard to say you’ve got a valid religious reason

NFL announces new punishments for games that are PPD for covid next season

Yes. The whole point is that if you took the basic step of getting vaccinated, you won’t be punished even if you got a breakthrough outbreak, but if you didn’t, then that’s on you. Which I think is a sensible approach.

If I were Hopkins I’d get the vaccine, that man can catch anything

NFL announces new punishments for games that are PPD for covid next season

I’m sure the NFL knows that breakthrough cases exist. But they specifically said unvaccinated because the goal is to punish teams who do the wrong thing, not just recover losses from postponed games

IIRC the two teams are Washington and Indianapolis

    Tompa Bay: Tom Tom Club

When Obama made fun of Trump, Trump got mad and decided to run for President. Logically this means Trump will get mad and try out for Tampa Bay QB.

Euro 2020 FINAL: Is it coming home or going to Rome?

I don’t understand why Southgate doesn’t start Grealish but always subs him in. He’s been excellent every time he’s on, is it just that Southgate thinks he doesn’t have enough of an engine to go the full 90/120?

Euro 2020 FINAL: Is it coming home or going to Rome?

I just heard Atomic Kitten’s “Southgate You’re the One” version of “Whole Again” and man, naff as it is, that song takes me back. Can’t imagine what it’s like to be in England and probably inundated with footie songs all day

    2021 Copa América

No surprise there! Neymar is really the worst at going to ground. Glad the ref generally didn’t fall for it.

Thanks! Though I’d be surprised if a British tabloid hasn’t come up with that at some point, seems low hanging fruit

    2021 Copa América

Decent enough game to watch, but not having watched much of Copa America, it really felt to me like both sides weren’t as tactically interesting as the European teams

Euro 2020 FINAL: Is it coming home or going to Rome?

I too remember those days and love that rule change. But I think what you do is similar to that – crack down on the actual time wasting behavior and make rules to change those behaviors, not introduce a clock system that carries potential for all sorts of other unforeseen consequences. I’d be...

Euro 2020 FINAL: Is it coming home or going to Rome?

You are truly counter-clock wise. Time wasting isn’t great but I suspect having a bunch of clocks and changing the time stoppage rules is going to have the potential for counter-productive impact. Players who now become more acutely aware of time left might play even more defensively, for example.

Going to LAAA in 2018 - Shohei Ohtani

Apparently Ohtani doesn’t take batting practice. I guess you don’t need to take BP if you can use actual MLB pitching for BP

Euro 2020 FINAL: Is it coming home or going to Rome?

This is where I stand - I understand the modern motivation to go down easily, and what Sterling didn't isn't particularly different from other players. What I find irritating about Italian flopping isn't that they go down easily on contact, it's that they often then go bugging the referee to...
