    Bruins Offseason Thread

The only reason I posed the question was because I find it hard to believe the medical/coaching staff expected Rask to be able to play 25ish games in 55 or so nights. I also think the phrase "ready to go" isn't 100% applicable in this case.

That's because there isn't a right answer. Despite what the Mike Felger's of the world want you to think...off this board I text regularly with a couple groups that includes 7-8 (relatively speaking) legit, amateur hockey players. And it's pretty much a split decision amongst that group as well.

This is all true, and what I've come around to (for now anyway, I've done about seven 180s the last 36 hours). The only thing I'm wondering, in hindsight obviously, is whether or not playing Swayman for a game here and there would have been the right move from a risk/reward standpoint...

As good as Rask until game 5, I have to think medical/coaching staff would've known a flare up was likely to happen playing basically every other night. As such, I really think they should've either looked to get Swayman playing time to give Rask additional rest, or just called on Swayman from...

Bruins Round 2 Thread- New York Islanders

Ok agreed. When your above post said "put a large chunk of games 5 and 6 on him," I thought were putting the blame squarely on Rask.

But is that on Rask, or Cassidy? I mean my 71 year old mother, who took a break from whatever MSNBC show she was devouring, watched for 10 minutes on Monday night and asked why he couldn't move and why he was playing.

Bruins Round 2 Thread- New York Islanders

Based on the first 9 games of the playoffs, I can't imagine going with anyone but Rask to start Game 5. But I think he should've been pulled quicker. And as staunch a defender of Rask as I've been (I post incredibly infrequently on these boards, but just trust me when I say I've been forced to...

6/9–Bruins at Islanders Game 6–Not Done Yet

I love rask and will defend him long after he retires and felger still telling me he sucks. That said, he’s pretty clearly hobbled and I don’t think gives them their best chance to win tonight.

It was ridiculous at the time given it was Nadal’s first loss there. And then it wasn’t too ridiculous for a few years when Soderling backed it up with the string plan you mentioned. But I think it’s gone back to being so, so ridiculous given what Nadal has done at Roland Garros since. He’s got...

I was there for this. It was an incredibly surreal experience. I think like much of the crowd, I wanted Rafa to win...but at the same time as it looked like soderling might pull it off you couldn’t help but want to witness history as well.

Berrettini just took the 3rd from Djoker after losing the first two 3&2. Match is now 2.5 hours old...I find it very hard to believe Djoker loses this, but by staying out there longer he is really going to make it (even more) difficult for himself against Rafa next round.

What he did against in Vancouver, collectively over those 7 games, is one of the greatest things I've witnessed as a sports fan. That said, and this is what I say to the Rask haters on my text thread that always bring up Thomas' 2011 run, they don't even get to Vancouver if Thomas' bad...

I am not able to watch, can anyone comment on how this is happening? More Musetti playing with no fear & rising to the occasion, or is Djokovic just really pedestrian today? Obviously it's not distinctly one or the other, just curious how it's playing out
