4/18- 1:05 PM ET vs. GAME ONE - CHICAGO WHITE SOX: Let's Play Two

The WS pitcher just threw a 53-foot practice pitch, hopefully that bodes well EDIT: Keuchel, as my wife helpfully reminds me

4/18- 1:05 PM ET vs. GAME ONE - CHICAGO WHITE SOX: Let's Play Two

It’s weird to look around the less-than-12%-filled ballpark and think this is what typical attendance looked like in the early 60s

4/18- 1:05 PM ET vs. GAME ONE - CHICAGO WHITE SOX: Let's Play Two

Well, I can say that I certainly wasn’t expecting my first pitch seen in Fenway in 2 years to be knocked out

    Tompa Bay: Tom Tom Club

Spotted in the Bay Colony in North Naples this morning. Probably just a fan boy, but wondering how difficult it was to secure this tag.

    Mouse Recommendations for Mac?

I still use the Dell by Logitech mouse--which is designed for a PC--with my Macbook Pro. However much I prefer the Mac OS and general experience, I just prefer the interface with a left and right-click mouse. Your Mac is smart enough to recognize that mouse and will let you customize how it...

    NFL In-season News and Transactions

Didn't know where to put this, but it involves a former Patriot who was discussed a lot for a time: https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2020/12/11/cyrus-jones-heart-surgery-nfl/

Sons of Peter McNeeley- Boxing Thread

At what time do we think Tyson-Jones will actually start? EDIT: I guess "just moments away". From something

Sons of Peter McNeeley- Boxing Thread

I’m amazed to admit I’m actually watching this. My son insisted on paying the $50. And no sooner do I type this than down goes Nate Robinson like a falling log. To that d-bag Jake Paul. Woof

Cutting The Cord on Cable/Satellite TV Service?

OK, that's interesting. I had just presumed that it was the availability of 5G chipsets that made this possible, but it sounds like you are saying a) true 5G chipsets aren't that cheap, and b) this is just using the 5 GHz wireless band that's already available through 802.11ac, which now that I...

Cutting The Cord on Cable/Satellite TV Service?

Yeah, this seems to be today's solution. I'm going to go the YTTV 1-week trial route just because it was the easiest to do quickly. However, thanks for all the suggestions, yet another reason why I love SoSH so much. I would have gone the way Zedia suggested (TNT app) but they don't have a...

Cutting The Cord on Cable/Satellite TV Service?

OK, that's a good thought, and that certainly would work for tomorrow night's Celtics game. I guess I should check out what a sub to YTTV costs. Thanks, I'll look at that as well. (BTW, I misstyped NFL game, I meant tomorrow night's NBA game--I'll probably watch tonight's NFL game via my...

Cutting The Cord on Cable/Satellite TV Service?

I just read through this thread and don't think I see an answer to this question: I would like to watch tomorrow night's Celtics-Raptors Game 7 on my TV. The issue is that friends would like to come over and watch as well, and my wife and I aren't willing to entertain them inside (they have...

    RIP Tom Seaver

My namesake and first sports hero. I read "The Perfect Game" so many times I had to tape it up six ways from Sunday. RIP Tom

Red Sox release statement about multiple incidents of racism at Fenway Park

Dale is boring, yes, but don't let him off the hook so easily. Anyone here remember Dale's impassioned defense of Parcells after the "She'll be fine" quote? Dale argued for days and days on air that there was no way that quote was demeaning to women, rather it was Parcells simply observing that...

    RD5 #13/#159: K Justin Rohrwasser, Marshall

I don't know, when I was growing up in Guilderland, NY we pretty much thought the Shenendehowa kids were all Nazis. Probably because they were a) lily-white, and b) kicked our asses in football and swimming (my two sports) every single year. They were the first football field I ever saw that was...

Some noise now around Price's physical. Cotillo is the most reputable guy I've seen on this: View: https://twitter.com/ChrisCotillo/status/1225227972224917504 "Could be nothing, but players involved in Red Sox/Dodgers blockbuster have not yet been informed. This medical review is taking a...

Problems with iPhone 6 and Apple Carplay

it’s something I would do on both the iPhone and the car. IPhone: 1. Settings>Bluetooth, look in My Devices, find your car, hit the circled i on the right and choose “Forget This Device” 2. Settings>General>CarPlay, look in My Cars, find your car, hit the > arrow, choose "Forget This Car" 3...

Problems with iPhone 6 and Apple Carplay

Whenever the iPhone establishes a bluetooth or WiFi connection with another device, a profile gets built and saved. Occasionally said profile can get corrupted, in which case the best solution is to delete the profile and re-pair the devices. Have you tried that?

    Bye week / Eagles chatter

Thanks for the painful memories. God that game was infuriating. OK, so here’s some more bad Eagles-related memories. When the Pats played the them at home in 2007, I took my son and his friend (they were 11 at the time) to the game. My son was a BIG Eagles fan at the time (blame it on Madden)...
